I watched him float away

After much pain and sorrow

With him it floated

My pain filled tomorrow

No more regenerations

No more doctors to be seen

No saving the situation

We sit and watch him bleed

When the distance is right

I'll set him aflame

I'll watch with such spite

As my world ends again

The river protests

It feel this is wrong

But just like mama's scream

We ignore the river's song

And on the tombstone

Which we'll make in his place

There will be no words

Just an empty stone frame

For when we addressed him

The way most people do

There was no name to say

Just the question "Doctor Who?"
