She's a Lady
A/N: In order for this story to actually happen, it needs to take place in the TOS timeline.
Disclaimer: I don't own Kylie Dades Kirk, or anything else Star Trek.
Kylie frowned. It was the third time that week that she had woken up to an empty bed.
She sat up and noticed that one of the bathroom lights were on. A shadow was moving along the wall. When he began to move towards the room, Kylie dropped back into a sleeping position and closed her eyes. Leaving one eye half open, Kylie was able to see Jim. He put on his coat, then headed out the door. Kylie's frown deepened.
She left the warmth of her bed and slipped on her robe. She left the apartment and followed Jim. At first, he got some coffee, then he left the building. A box of chocolates. Some flowers. A card. Kylie relaxed. She couldn't remember if it was some special day or anything. However, it was just like Jim to get her something for no reason at all. With everything in hand, Kylie figured that he would head home. He didn't.
He instead went the opposite direction. Kylie raised an eyebrow. Where was he going? She continued to follow him, hoping for the best, but fearing the worst. She watched as Jim walked up to a woman sitting at a desk and put his load down. Kylie huffed. How dare he! He left them on the desk and walked through a door behind the desk.
Kylie marched over to the desk. "Where is captain Kirk going?" she demanded.
"To see his lady," the woman answered.
Kylie scowled at her and went through the door. She saw him leaning on a railing. Marching over to him, Kylie expected an answer when she saw him, but he just grinned. He turned back to where he was looking and pointed.
"Look," he said, "the USS Enterprise."
Kylie's mouth formed an 'O'. "You left me in the middle of the night to see a pile of scrap?" she asked.
"Come on Ky!" Jim protested. "No ship could ever take your place in my heart!" He put his arm around her should and led her away, giving her the flowers and chocolates.
Later, while using Jim as a pillow, Kylie figured that the Enterprise would be her rival for Jim's affections far into the future.
