"Brittany, why do we have to go shopping now?" Santana complained from her spot on their couch in their New York apartment.

"'Cause all we have in this house is can of soup." Her wife replied with her hands on her hips.

"And I have to go why?" Brittany sighed.

"Because you handle the money."

"Ok, just let me go change my clothes." The Latina replied standing up. She changed quickly and soon they were at the nearest grocery store. They passed by the movie section and a specific movie caught the blonde's eye so she picked it up. Santana looked at the movie then at her.

"Dora the Explorer, really B? Stop playing around and let's go." Brittany didn't move even as Santana turned around and slowly walked down the aisle.

"I thought it could help our future children learn Spanish." Santana spun around so quickly Brittany thought she would get whiplash.

"No child of mine will be learning Spanish by Dora the Explorer. They'll learn it the same way I did, by listening to my parents."

"But I don't speak Spanish." She pointed out.

"They'll listen to me. We'll work it out when we have one." Santana replied turning around so she could keep walking. Brittany placed the movie back and followed smiling at how well her plan had worked.

"When do you want a child?" she asked after they had walked down two aisles. Santana looked at her wife who was looking at a box of fruit loops.

"Not for a very long time." She replied walking ahead of the blonde.

"When will that be?"

"Let me think about it." The Latina said knowing it would be the only thing she could say to get Brittany to stop asking. The blonde nodded and they finished shopping. Four days passed and Brittany still hadn't brought up the subject again much to Santana's delight. Santana was just getting home from work on that following Wednesday when Quinn called her on her cell phone.

"I know it's kinda short notice but do you think you can watch Chloe while Rachel and I go Bailey's parent teacher conference?" Quinn's voice sounded rushed and Santana couldn't help but say yes.

"Thank you so much. Rachel will drop her off in ten minutes." Before Santana could respond Quinn hung up.

"Brittany we're getting Chloe over in ten minutes." Santana yelled and the Brittany ran down the stairs.

"Yay!" In less than ten minutes Rachel was rapidly knocking on their door.

"Thank you guys. We'll only be gone for two hours at most." The young Broadway star said placing Chloe in Brittany's waiting arms and handing her diaper bag to Santana. Rachel left just as quickly in a flurry of brunette hair and Brittany walked with Santana following into the living room. Santana thought the night would be boring having to watch a five month old, but watching Brittany play with Chloe and feed her made the older girls heart melt and tell her exactly what she wanted. Santana waited until Rachel and Quinn were gone with Chloe before she talked to Brittany.

"Hey, B?" she said as Brittany sat on the couch surfing channels on the TV.

"Yeah, S?" The blonde didn't look away from the TV as she responded.

"You know how you asked me when I wanted a child?" she started and Brittany nearly dropped the remote as she turned and looked Santana in the eyes.

"Yeah, have you thought about it?"

"Yeah and I want one." The bubbly blonde jumped up from the couch and tackled her wife in a tight hug.

She kissed all over the Latina's face as Santana said, "I have one condition."

"I'll be having it." Brittany said pulling away for a second before going back to kissing her.

"No. I mean they cannot watch Dora the Explorer, ever." Brittany nodded with a smile and Santana knew she had made the right decision.
