Chapter 1

It's Christmas time and everybody is getting prepared for the holidays. The Mitchell siblings are hard at work decorating in different areas of the base.

Dana is in the Galley, helping with food for the party. She is barking orders in her quest for it to be a perfect Christmas. She shot a grin towards Red Ranger Carter Grayson and then turned her attention back toward the task she was in the middle of, so she didn't see his usual grin in return. It was obvious sparks were flying between these two.

Ryan was busily hanging streamers along the hallways, while his and Dana's baby sister, Jennifer hung up balloons of various colors. He was in the middle of hanging red and green streamers in a corner when he heard a loud crash and a loud groan. Realizing fast it was Jennifer, he dropped what he was doing and quickly ran to her. He found her on the ground and she was holding her right arm in pain. "Jen! You okay?" He asked worriedly.

"Looks like I am done with this for the year. I think I just broke my arm." Jennifer said as her brother gently helped her to her feet. "It's just my arm. Other than that I'm okay, but Daddy is gonna freak." She let him help her to Medbay and both stopped dead when they spotted their father, Captain William Mitchell in there speaking softly with Ms. Angela Fairweather-Rawlings. Both turned when they heard the hiss of the door and both rushed over to the Silver Ranger and the new patient.

"What happened?" Both asked in unison as Angela checked Jennifer's arm. They both looked concerned due to the fact Jennifer was actually the youngest of the seven team members.

"I fell off a ladder while I was hanging balloons. Ryan found me and brought me here." Jennifer explained. "I am pretty sure its broken." She looked at her injured arm and sighed softly as she received a confirmation nod. It was indeed broken. "Just great." She added sarcastically.

"You didn't hit your head, did you?" Captain Mitchell asked his daughter worriedly. His eyes met her's and he sighed from relief when she shook her's. "Good." He remained by her side as her arm was set and placed in a cast. By then, Ryan had been dismissed to finish his task of hanging streamers. He knew if he didn't he would suffer the wrath of Dana. Afterwards, Captain Mitchell sent his youngest child to her quarters to lay down for awhile. He then asked over his comm. if Kelsey Winslow would mind finishing the balloons as a favor to him as well as Dana, while he headed to the bridge.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fairweather got to work on a little surprise for the youngest Mitchell. A surprise no one would soon forget-left alone her father. Her team was also busy, but none were willing to divulge the secret as a favor to Ms. Fairweather.

A/N: It is a short chapter but two will make up for it! It's coming soon!
