Shae: Well, I wanted to cry when I wrote this...but I think SharleaNorth would be very proud of me because I didn't! Haha! Anyway, just trying my hand at a songfic. I absolutely love this song! It's called "The Ghost Of You" by My Chemical Romance. Hope you guys like this. It's about how Demyx died, but I left his name as is because I think without his name he seems OOC.
Disclaimer: I don't own Demyx or My Chemical Romance.

Demyx stared at the blank wall. He leaned back against the side of his bed and ran his fingers through his unkempt blonde hair.
I never said I'd lie in wait forever.
He buried his face in his hands and let the first choked sob break through.
If I died we'd be together. I can't always just forget her…but she could try.
He was crying now, shaking with anger and the force of his heavy breathing. He remembered the way she'd looked at him from the inside of her car.
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see; you are never coming home, never coming home.
He'd cried out, hands shaking as he reached for her.
Could I? Should I?
She'd watched him, smiling, unable to move.
And all the things that you never ever told me, and all the smiles that are ever ever…ever.
He looked at his hands, trembling now the same way they had the day before. He wrapped his arms around his knees to steady himself, but it only seemed to get worse.
Get the feeling that you'll never…
When they'd pulled her out of the mess of a car, the ambulance hadn't yet arrived and he'd asked to hold her.
All alone and I remember now. At the top of my lungs in my arms, she dies. She dies.
She'd lost so much blood. Holding her close, he'd felt her heart stop and pulled away. Her pale face had still been smiling.
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see; you are never coming home, never coming home.
Demyx rolled onto his side and shuddered with sobs. Tears streamed down his face and he tasted salt.
Could I? Should I?
Even now, the only thing he could think about was the smile on her face when he'd finally given her over to the paramedics.
And all the things that you never ever told me, and all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me.
Through two hours of CPR, and whatever else they'd tried to save her with, he'd stayed by her side.
Never coming home, never coming home. Could I? Should I?
He'd held her hand as it had gotten colder and colder…
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me, for all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me.
She had been his life, and after losing her he felt that he'd lost his life as well.
If I fall…if I fall down…
Demyx's best friend had been the first one at the hospital with him. Normally very non-contact, he had held Demyx while he cried into his friend's shoulder.
At the end of the world, or the last thing I see; you are never coming home, never coming home.
Demyx forced himself up and started to search through the things on the table.
Never coming home, never coming home.
He picked up a straight-edged razor and sank back onto the floor.
And all the things that you never ever told me, and all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me.
He shivered, and tears pooled again in his deep blue eyes.
Never coming home, never coming home.
He turned the razor over and over in his shaking hands.
Could I? Should I?
He sucked in a breath and screwed his eyes shut as he dragged the razor across his wrist. He'd rather have gone through this with her, but the best he could do right now was make sure she wasn't alone.
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me, for all the ghosts that are never gonna…
