Writer's ToD dared by Ari to write a piece inspired by song Marry You - Train

Blaine looked down at the ring he was fiddling with in his hands in the alleyway besides Kurt's apartment, tears clinging to his eyelashes as he kept replaying the conversation he had with his dad before he left.

This isn't right, Blaine!

What isn't right, dad? Wanting to get married to the person you truly love and would die for?

No! You!

He remembered the feeling and the look his dad got, the dad who just wanted a son to bond with and watch and play sports with, and do all the things little boys do with their fathers, but never got. The tears that were hanging on for dear life let go and slid down his cheek, his vision blurring with more.

He loved his parents so much, but he wished his father would just accept him, and all he wanted was his father's approval. Was it too much to ask? He wondered, looking down as the ring again and a few lines from Train's song "Marry You" replayed in his head like a broken record player.

Suddenly, he felt a burst of hope as he harmonized more of the lyrics in his brain, and he sprinted off a block to Kurt's apartment, knocking on the door impatiently, the tears clinging back onto his eyelashes, the ring in his hand.

Kurt opened the door, a smile plastered to his face, but then it vanished as he saw Blaine. "What's wrong, Blaine?" Kurt asked, leading him in and closing the door. He just stared at him, their faces inches apart, and he cracked a weak smile. "Marry me," he said shakily, holding out the ring that Kurt's eyes darted to.

"W-What?"

Blaine chuckled, grabbing his left hand and putting the ring on him. "Kurt, marry me! I don't care—I don't care what my dad says. I love you, and that's all that matters." He grins at Kurt, and when realization finally dawns on him, the biggest grin he's ever seen his boyfriend make appears, tears begin to well up in his eyes, and he collapses into him, kissing him, his hands holding Blaine's face.

When they break apart, they're both crying, theire foreheads touching. "Of course I'll marry you, Blaine." Kurt reveals quietly, hugging him tightly.
