Pigma Dengar sat at a bar, tenth drink in hand, going over the day's events. He had just been fired from the Star Wolf team that morning for his, what Wolf had referred to as, 'greedy and distrustful nature'. While still in shock from that part of the day, Pigma was even more focused on what had happened afterward. Pigma's heart throbbed harder than the wound on his forehead….

*flashback*

"PACK YOUR BAGS, YOU FILTHY SWINE! YOU HAVE TWENTY MINUTES!" Wolf howled harshly before slamming the door to Pigma's quarters.
God, can't you calm down for one minute? Pigma thought. Well, better pack fast.
While he certainly wouldn't miss Wolf, Pigma did wish him the best. After all, Wolf had taken him in after Peppy kicked him out for killing James. Leon, the chameleon, was nice enough to him too, though they did get in to their fair share of quarrels. And then there was Andrew, the snow monkey….

While they didn't talk much at first, Andrew and Pigma had become rather friendly with each other, even to the point where Wolf and Leon would make fun of their friendship, calling them 'Lovebirds'. They were anything but. Pigma couldn't deny that they had become best friends. Though, he started to question that when Andrew came into his quarters….

"Hey, Piggy. Need any help packing?" Andrew asked, peeking his head in.
"Oh, hey, Oikonny. No, I don't need any help. Thanks for asking though." Pigma replied.
"O-oh, I see. Well, I guess I'll just go, then." Andrew said nervously.
"Hey, wait. Is something wrong, buddy?"
"Oh, no, no! Not at all." Andrew quickly said. There was a pause. "Well, actually…." Andrew finally began.
"Yeah? Come on, you can tell me, pal."
"Well, it's just; you know how my Uncle Andross recently died?" Andrew spat out.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry, dude. That must be rough. But hey, you get to be the new Emperor, right? That's cool."
"Y-you think so?"
"Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't it be?"
"Well, I have nobody by my side. My Uncle had nobody truly loyal by his side; that is, except for me; and look where it got him. And he was way stronger than I am. Sure, I'm glad to get away from Wolf and Leon, but I'll fail within the first week! I can't do this!"
"Hey, don't say that, Oikonny. You'll make a great Emperor. I know it." Pigma wrapped his arm around Andrew's shoulders. "And I'm sure you'll find someone to rule by your side."
"Y-you think so?"
Pigma couldn't help but notice Andrew's blush.
"Oikonny, you okay? You're read as a tomato."
"Oh, I hadn't noticed." Andrew buried his face in his hands. "I'm sorry. This is really embarrassing." He took a deep breath. "Pigma, can I tell you something?"
"Anything. You're my best friend." Pigma assured Andrew.
"See, here's the thing. I want to be more than just best friends. I want to go further."
"What do you mean, Oik-" Pigma was cut off by Andrew's lips touching his.
Oh my God! Pigma thought. What is this ape doing?
Pigma wanted to pull away, but he couldn't pull away. Pigma felt his face warm up. His heart raced.
What the hell is going on? Pigma thought. Why am I feeling like this? What is wrong with me?
Andrew pulled away. "I-I'm so sorry. I should have never done that." He began to run out of the room, but Pigma had hugged him before he could do so.
"No, Oikonny. I loved it. I love you." Pigma couldn't believe what he was saying, but something about it felt right.
Andrew blushed madly. "Pigma, I love you too."
Wolf burst through the door. "Pigma, are you done ye-…WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?"

Pigma still hadn't regretted getting that scar on his forehead.
