Christmastime in Radiator Springs was something different; something special. The contrast of the inky black sky against the neon lights looked almost like shards of the sun had befallen the cozy little town.

Speaking of Cozy, everyone in the town decorated their shops, and Sally had strung Cone Christmas lights all over her once forsaken little motel. The cones glowed a dimly-lit orange hue, making the room shine, and Christmas jingles could be heard softly in the distance. Hanging the final decorations up, Sally felt a gentle nudge on her side, and she spun around to see McQueen, with his new red and green paint-job that he got every season.

"Hey," She spoke, a smile broadening her fender, but she sheepishly tried to hide it. Lightning smiled, trying desperately to act seductive. "That's not going to make you any more lucky tonight, Lightning," Sally chirped, poking his tire. "Darn," He said. He swerved around her and began fiddling with a cone keychain that had fallen onto the floor. "So, tell me," McQueen began. "Have you been naughty or nice this year?" He leaned in and tried to peck her fender. "Oh shut up, Stickers. Honestly, you are still immature." She said, pulling back, but secretly enjoying the attention. "Ouch." Lightning smiled.

The two cars drove out into the street, and they saw everyone gathered at Flo's, laughing, smiling, and just enjoying each other's company. Mater spotted his shiny, red, best friend from afar, and he quickly scampered to Sally and McQueen. "Hey there buddy!" Mater spat. "And hello tuh yuh too, Miss Sally!" The red and blue sports cars greeted their friend cheerfully. Mater continued speaking, staring intently on the couple. "Speaking of Miss. Sally," Mater said perkily "Will you ever be Mrs. Sally?" Instead of jabbing Mater in the side like Lightning would normally do if Mater asked a humiliating question like that, Lightning just smiled softly at her and said "Maybe someday." Sally looked at him, searching through her mind desperately looking for the right words to say, when she heard the laid back voice of Fillmore say "Hey, dudes, your missing out on the fun!" Mater scurried ahead, his engine puckering out, while Lightning gestured to Sally. "Come on!" He said, warmly.

As he nudged Sally ahead, she couldn't help but realize that one moment he would be acting creepy, like a pedophile, and the next moment he would be back to his sweet old self. Sometimes he would even get carried away, and become his old braggart self. The thought poofed out of her thoughts when they drove into Flo's, and every started to gather around them to mingle.

"Hey, man, you were late!" Ramone said, rising atop his heels. "You know what this means…" Lightning let a confused expression towards the low-rider. "What…does it mean?" He asked, his voice concerned. "Oh my gosh, no!" Sally thought, nervous. She prayed that she wasn't thinking of what they were thinking. Ramone smiled and nudged Lightning's side. "It means, bachelor, that you need to look up!" Grimacing, the two cars peered above themselves to see dozens of patches of mistletoe hanging up all around them. Mater squealed in delight. "They is gunna have to kiss!"
