This Prologue is not finished but I needed to publish this because I have a few people I want to critique my work. I will be adding more to this prologue in a few days. But I also wish for here to do that same. So enjoy.

Of course I do not own Gundam Seed or any other anime I use to write this story. Please be respectful and ask me if there is something you want to use from my work.

Thanks

Prologue

When one witnesses a wrong and does nothing about it, they are no better then the one who perpetrated that vile act for they give validation to the wanted deed.

-Unknown 21st Century-

Hooded figures, with sinister intent, watched a small, free floating entity enter a darkened room.

The mantled figure, clad in a grey hood and red cape covered their person except for a single glowing red eye, moved to the center of the combat information center, stopping in front of eight similarly attired individuals peering at a spherical holographic representation of their known universe.

"The humans of 'Solar System GS110049-B' have become a threat." The being began in a deep metallic voice as the spherical hologram spun and enlarged to view the solar system in question. "The awareness has detected possible contamination and foreseen the hand of our enemy."

"Once again mankind has infested itself with the children of darkness addiction." A second replied as several free floating windows appeared before the assembled. "Fortunately our goals remain unchanged and once again direct action must be pursued to squelch the infestation."

"Are we prepared to receive the task set before us?"

"Yes!" Replied all eight individuals as information appeared on the smart walls behind them of a gleaming blue jewel of a planet its moon and hourglass like colonies.

"But what of the male and female giants fighting each other that the awareness has deemed a proper instrument in using to remove this blight?" A third questioned turning to look at the smart wall.

"All in due course!"

"But what of the male and female giants fighting each other that the awareness has deemed a proper instrument in using to remove this blight?" The three clad humanoid individuals noted, watching the free floating window intently.

"All in due course," they heard and all three began to cackle gleefully.

"Good!" An elderly woman's elated but harsh voice chimed grabbing the free floating window of their pawns and relocated it to a large smart wall. "Master shall be pleased with our efforts. Yes he will!"

"But it will take time for our slaves to position themselves to strike our Master's enemies down. Yes, Master's enemies." A second elderly woman rasped coldly moving over to a holo-tank and brought up a spherical map of the locations of their pawns relative to their quarry.

A dark malevolent chuckle filled with delight echoed from the third elderly woman as she folded her arms

"It will be fine, sister. Master has provided. Yes he has! Master used the Giants years and years ago to stop the evil light that takes away the darkness. Master shall provide once more. Master shall indeed."

The first nodded several time looking at the holo-map, then clicked her teeth.

"You are correct, sister. Master shall!" She clucked, voice dripping with menace, eyes going hard with anticipation.

"It was an unfortunate bit of circumstance all those years ago. Master's chattel, Durandal and his silly little imps, failed to bring about our master's plan and master destroy them. Yes, Master did indeed!" An unpleasant whimsical riposte was heard from the second sister, eyes flashing in demonic glee.

"Yes! Yes!" The third waved her hand in response relishing the vivid memory of the death and destruction. "Let's not dwell in the past, sisters. Master requires us to exterminate these accursed vermin once and for all. Yes he does! We wasted a reseeding on that ugly blue rock. Master requires us to prevail. Master wishes! Yes he does!"

"Master wishes! Yes he does!" The others echoed as eyes glittered malice upon their prey.

"Attention to all ZAFT forces of Task Group Four-Eight-Two. This is ZAFT Task Force Four-Eight battle operations command -, " Tyr Metharom looked up from his pre-flight check of his XMF-01B Proto Dinn Raven to see Staff Operations Officer Elizabeth Tennard's free floating image. " – Stand by for 'Azure Sky' to commence on my mark - " His left eye arched as she paused looking over her shoulder at ZAFT Task Force Four-Eight's commanding officer, Captain Talia Gladys, with a nod to commence operations " -Coming up on bearing five-seven-three, descent ratio at forty-five degree angle, thirty degrees north by sixty degrees west from Earths central axis. All drop ships commence drop in five…four…three…two…one…mark!"

Tyr Metharom felt a slight shimmer as his descent pod severed from the drop ship, beginning TG Four-Eight-Two's operational descent towards Azure Sky's planned invasion of Victoria Space Port, North Africa. He understood that there was a one-in-four chance of them succeeding with the operation. But it did not matter; the Earth Alliance needed their ears pinned back. '

The Valentine Massacre' ghosts demanded that there be a pound of flash taken. The Earth Alliance used a nuclear missile on an agricultural colony.

Tyr Metharom did not want to destroy the naturals out right. That would be wrong. Not all the naturals were blood-thirsty psychopaths like the thugs in 'Blue Cosmos'. Elizabeth Tennard was proof of that, for she was a 'natural' who joined ZAFT to prove that not all naturals were crazed lunatics.

Elizabeth worked hard to prove her worth and for a natural, she was exceptional ─ even by coordinator standards ─ at communications and astrogation. She was an example of a person who was accepted for her merits and not her genes.

"This is Alpha one, talk to me, Tennard, you have the ball." Tyr uttered, mouth twitching in amusement as he dragged her free-floating-image to the right and gripped his controls as vibration indicated the descent pod's entrance into the 'Karman Line' or Earth's upper atmosphere while sensors began to report 'heat flux' forming underneath.

"Roger that, Alpha One, bearing is south east, at fifteen degrees north by zero degrees, earth's central axis relative to target coordinates, seven degrees south by thirty-seven degrees east. First atmospheric layer traversed in five…four…three…two…one…mark! All drop pods will now begin to decelerate to Mach Four. TGFE-Two's assault wing trajectory is good." Elizabeth announced. "Twenty-eight seconds until termination of cooling stage. All units will commence aerodynamic control."

"This is Alpha One, I copy that command," Tyr stated, giving a mental thumbs up of approval to Elizabeth's superb astrogation calculations while holding on to a locket his wife, Anatu gave him. Tapping a series of commands into a free floating window he flipped the release to his weapons. "Alpha one, confirming weapons are activated and are hot."

"Bravo Two, ready."

"Charlie Three, OK."

"Delta Four, let's Rock."

"Second Atmospheric layer traversed," Tyr called out. "All right ladies and gents, we're about to deal a severe blow to those still clinging to the planet's surface." Tyr fervently announced as two static bursts filled the com. "Passing layer of turbulence, all pods decelerating to mach zero-point-nine. Cooling stage ceased. Attitude is good. May fortune smile upon us."

"Pre-programmed descent coordinates have been transmitted to TFGE Two's pods, Captain Gladys." Elizabeth confirmed then flicked a switch and a free floating communications window of Tyr appeared. She touched a frequency icon changing her frequency to Tyr's.

"Tyr?"

"Ya?" Tyr's static filled reply came.

"Be careful." Elizabeth murmured, concern coloring her voice. Then she double tapped the window and it disappeared.

"Sure thing, Kiddo," Tyr said grinning ear to ear. "Oh by the way, Tennard-"

"Hhmmm" Elizabeth smiled, heat touching her cheeks, for she knew everyone could hear.

"-when the fleet gets back to the PLANTS; you merry Anatu's brother, like you promised." Tyr smirked as choruses of chuckles, woops and whistles were heard throughout the com.

"Guh! Tyr!" Elizabeth blurted, exasperation evident face turning a dark shade of red.

"You deserve to be happy, kiddo. Enki's a good man and I know you love him." Tyr finished with a smirk.

"Amen, brother." Bravo Two echoed. "Go get 'em, kiddo."

"Na…na…na…" Elizabeth sputtered, looking around at everyone in embarrassment.

"Behave yourself, Commander Metharom." He heard Captain Talia Gladys say, mirth evident in her voice. "We will make sure she gets home safely. Good luck and God speed, commander, Talia clear."

Tyr chuckled and then glanced at the picture of him, his wife and little daughter. This was for their future. They must take Victoria Space Port at all costs.

"Fair winds and fallowing seas, ma'am," Tyr said double tapping Elizabeth's window and it disappeared. "Ok…here we go…For ZAFT!"

"For ZAFT!" Bravo Two sounded out fervently.

"For ZAFT!" Charlie Three roared.

"Oh Ya! For ZAFT!" Delta Four shouted.

Elizabeth typed in several commands that connected her console to ZAFT's satellites positioned over Africa and watched as multiple independent floating screens appeared before her. Each screen showed a portion of TF Four-Eight's drop pods descending and it was obvious that 'Azure Sky' caught the Earth Alliance forces by its shorts. Not a single shot in anger reached her fellow comrades. She touched, then dragged the window showing TG four-eight-two's position and watched as the landing pods jettisoned the outer shell revealing TG Four-Eight-Two's assault group. The locks securing the four man teams to the main column of the pod disengaged and the mobile suites parted bringing up their targeting systems to full strength.

Four-hundred and fifty Ginn's, Cgue's and Dinn's descended upon the entrenched Earth Alliance forces as contrails of M-Six-Six Canus snub-nosed, short-range thermo-baric rockets shot forward and M-Six-Eight Cattus Five-hundred millimeter recoilless rifles as well Seventy-Six millimeter anti-armor cannons fired, impacting their targets, devastating bunkers, pill boxes, tanks and anti-air emplacements. But their attack did not go un-challenged and Elizabeth closed her eyes as Delta four-three took a hit, severing its leg at the knee and it hurtled to the ground with a plum of debris that enveloped it from view.

'Most likely the pilot was dead.' She thought as a tear fell down her cheek.

She knew why ZAFT was attacking Victoria Space Port. The mission was to stem the tide of provision, men and material from reaching EA military space outposts. Five months had passed sense the Bloody Valentine Tragedy that escalated a stand off of wills between the PLANTS and the EA to a full-fledged war. At first, analysts hypothesized that the EA's superiority in numbers would overwhelm and bring victory to the allies, but Elizabeth knew the assessment was catastrophically incorrect and now there seemed no end to humanities present insanity.

She was embarrassed and sickened at what Blue Cosmos had done and she balled her hands in frustration. Elizabeth felt a hand touch her shoulder and she looked up to see her Captain smile down at her.

"We don't blame you, Eli. You fight to protect the PLANTS. You are one of us."

Elizabeth looked around the St. Just's bridge and saw her Captain's words were true as smiles and nods greeted her. They did see her as one of them. She smiled in gratitude. She would continue to do her duty, no matter what. She may not be a Coordinator, but she was a ZAFT soldier, sworn to protect the PLANTS and that was what she was going to do.

"Hey Tennard," Elizabeth heard a voice. "Hey…Earth to Tennard. Wake up!"

"Huh?"

"Hey Tennard," Elizabeth heard a voice mischievously say. "Hey…Earth to Tennard. Wake up!"

"Huh?" Elizabeth blinked, mental musing disrupted, twenty-one, redhead, five-foot-one, athletically built, mother of two month old baby boy, Torin, turned to look to her left to see who was interrupting her and amber eyes met kittenish light blue. Both women studied each other for a few second and then she shook her head as if to clear her mind.

"Oh! … Itzel Toth … it's you."

A snort came from Itzel, nineteen, redhead, five-foot-four, built like a super model, envy of most women, flashed a toothy smile while the right hand fingers moved, waving at her.

"You think? Of course it's me. Caught ya day dreaming again, didn't I?" The spunky teen's mouth twitched in playful exuberance. "You seem to do that a lot sense your little one was born."

"Have I?"

Elizabeth tipped her head slightly to the left to look at the girl, while slightly rocking her son, not sure if she was being serious or sarcastic.

Her question was answered when her fellow colleague, ─ who was wearing her Morgenroete Para-Military-Organization uniform, which consisted of a red and white shirt, chevron cut, blue undershirt only seen bottom of shirt, dark and light pink bolero, banded collar, jacket, with a white hip hugging, side pleated pencil skirt, with a light blue full seat breach pattern, black belt with silver buckle and black boots that had a grey collars, heals and tips, ─ twirled around with child like laughter.

Elizabeth felt the air go out of her lungs as she turned away from her colleague to look out a space view port located at Orb Union's ─ a small nation of Earth, located in the south pacific ─ space colony, Heliopolis.

"I'm not sure how to take that?"

"Boy, talk about being miss grumps-a-lot." Itzel replied with a pout and then shrugged joining her.

"I'm not a grump, Itzel." Elizabeth snapped.

"Tch! It sure sounds like it Eli." Itzel responded tartly, with an edge of something else.

'She's feeling hurt,' Elizabeth thought surprised.

"Look, I'm just not in the mood to deal with a whole lot today, Itzel." Came her response, not sure what else to say. "Please take no offense. You're not a bother, really. It's just today is not a good day."

"When are you ever Elizabeth?" Itzel returned sharply, looking at her. "You're so closed off that no one can get close to you. Mystery is what you are, dearie."

Elizabeth harrumph rolling her eyes and Itzel shrugged.

"Haa? Dearie? What are you my grandmother now?"

"Ho! Ho! Call it a term of endearment." She grinned foolishly and Elizabeth smacked her forehead. "What? You want me to call you something colorful like heartless broad or insult you with, 'eat my shorts' when you get cranky?" She finished as Elizabeth's shoulders sagged in resignation.

"What?"

'Oh for crying-out-loud,' Elizabeth thought.

"Ugh! You're impossible." She finally responded with exasperated grimace.

"I know. I come by it easily." Itzel stated, waving her right hand leaning against the wall, grinning like a fool. "But that's why I'm so lovable."

Elizabeth smiled, breaking some of the tension, she shook her head and took a deep breath, face rearranging to a frown, eyes unfocused.

"I have my reasons. Lots of things I'm not proud of Itzel." She offered after a short pause closing her eyes with a pained expression.

"Like ZAFT?"

"Not exactly," Elizabeth glanced up quickly not sure how the other found out about her stint in ZAFT or her subsequent flight from the PLANTS.

'Tch, only that old crotchety Professor Kato, Erica Simmons of Morgenroete and government higher-ups knew why she left,' she thought sourly, 'this silly 'adolescent' was not supposed to know.'

"I was an ignorant, stupid girl who thought she was justified in causing acts of violence. I was raised as a tool and people died. I can never fix that. All I can do is move forward, being mindful of what I've done and do what is right for my son and those around me. I wish I could say more, but there are those in dark places that I must be wary of."

Elizabeth looked down and away unable to look at Itzel.

"But anyway, what about you? What's your story? Why do you hide who you are?"

"Who says I am, Elizabeth?" Itzel frowned, eyes darkening.

"I know Itzel Toth is not your real name. You talk in your sleep."

When Elizabeth failed to hear a response, she looked up to find Itzel resting her head against the view-port, eyes closed.

"Itzel?"

"My real name is not important and it would be dangerous for me to reveal anyway." She replied quietly, looking at her with a bitter smile. "Besides, I can't remember much anyway."

"Wha…"

"I said I can't remember much of my past." Itzel tersely said, interrupting Elizabeth, expression full of hopelessness. "Or at least I can't until something triggers certain memories that seem to coincide with events that have yet to happen on this colony." She finished waving her hand dismissively.

"What…wait a minute," Elizabeth uttered shocked then paused mouth twisted in confusion.

"Are you saying you can predict what is going to happen?"

"Not quite, just general stuff or certain events concerning this colony and…oh and certain events to come in this war, I think. You could say I can alter certain aspects, sort of." Her face scrunched up in thought. "And I'm not a pre-cog. I think."

"I'd say that's a real wing-ding of a theory"

Itzel laughed bitterly.

"Well what if I told you I was born one-thousand and twenty-four years ago, friend and family are dead and that a war between naturals and coordinators already happened. And I was involved in it and that some of the events from the past are repeating, sort of or how I'm the only true 'Natural' alive in this solar system, would you believe me now?" Elizabeth stared at her as an uncomfortable silence took over.

When no reply came she chuckled.

"Well there you go. You have your answer. …in a spooky sort of way… mystery solved concerning my past."

'Oh Joy,' Elizabeth thought.

"I thought both of your origins were top secret for a reason, Itzel? Elizabeth?" A voice interrupted and both women whirled around to see a life size hologram of Professor Kato staring at them.

"OooH! Heh!" Elizabeth heard from the teen and rolled her eyes as she caught the sparkle in Itzel's bright, light blue eyes.

As long as she had known the younger woman, Itzel seemed to enjoy teasing the old cranky professor. It was almost her favorite pastime. Her interaction with him was legendary among Morgenroete and the technical college.

"Hey you 'old fusspot', how's the old ball and chain going for ya?" Itzel replied with a snicker as Elizabeth snorted with amusement.

"How many times must I tell you not to call me an 'old fusspot' you troublesome teenage delinquent," Professor Kato snarled. "And for your information, you silly girl, I'm a happily married man with six children."

"Ah come on Professor you know I'm just kidding. We're pals, right?" Itzel said and then paused as her eyes sparkled with glee, "Although…in all honesty, 'Old Coot' fits you better." She finished as Elizabeth began to howl in laughter.

"Oh God have mercy on me!" Professor Kato began, looking up to heaven imploring to be rescued. "Just shoot me now. What did I do to deserve this?"

"Tee-Hee! Sorry Professor, you make it easy."

"I see." Kato replied with a frown. "You haven't answered my question, young lady?"

"Are you serious?" Elizabeth asked levity forgotten, shock evident on her face looking at Itzel.

"Of course I am Eli. Granted my body is that of a nineteen year-old due to being in suspended animation for so long," Itzel smiled mirthlessly. "But I was found five years ago in a cryo-tube, on a stinking rock in space, horribly burned."

"It took us a year to find a proper solution in removing her safely from the cryo-unit to heal her injuries." Professor Kato finished for Itzel. "When we investigated how long she'd been in stasis we were shocked."

Elizabeth just stared, eye wide, mouth open.

"Don't freak out Eli. What I know is limited at best." Itzel soothed gently. "I doubt what I know could have stopped this stupid war the Earth and PLANTS are in. I know it wouldn't."

Itzel shook her head in disgust.

"Is that why you have been edgy the last few weeks?" Elizabeth came out of her stupor and pointed an accusing figure at her, eyes narrowing. "Is there a possible threat to this space colony?"

Itzel gave the professor a pained expression.

"I don't know. Like I said, this 'time line' is similar to what I grew up in. So similar it gives me the hebegebees just thinking about it." She laughed nervously. "It's like someone is pulling the strings, but on a grander scale."

"Well is there anything that is different from your 'time line'?"

"Well, Morgenroete was not a PMO." Itzel confirmed. "Oh and you were not around, in fact there was no such person like you at all … I think."

Grim-faced, Elizabeth's shoulders sagged.

"I'm not sure how to take that."

"Well you could say, ─" Itzel paused, putting her right index finger in a thoughtful pose on face. "─ thank you?"

Elizabeth hesitated, expression going sour and wondered what else could happen. She looked back at Itzel and her stupid grin.

"Oh Poodoo!"
