Emma Swan woke up rather quickly, and looked around. Good. Nobody had killed her in her sleep. Then she had a mini heart-attack and looked at Henry, then sighed with relief to see that Henry was still alive as well. They had both survived their first night on the island. Emma picked up her sword and walked to the edge of the cliff and observed the large forest area below to see if she could see anyone. Her mother, her father, Regina even? Emma knew that Henry would have been safer with Regina, but she also knew that when placed in a situation such as this, Regina would show her dark side more often than her light side. After all, she was still the Evil Queen.
"Mom..?" Henry murmured.
"Morning sleepyhead," Emma smiled and turned around, then screamed when she saw Granny behind Henry, pointing a crossbow at his head. Ruby was standing nearby, and was frowning.
"I'm really sorry Emma," Ruby was nearly in tears.
"I told you not to talk!" hissed Granny, then looked at Emma, "Look Emma, we still regard you as friends, but...Ruby and I really want to survive this. He said that the last remaining person on this island gets to leave."
"I know," replied Emma, "please. We can find a way to get off this island together. Please! He's my son!"
"I'm sorry, Emma," Granny ignored Henry's sobbing, "I will get off this island."
Then Emma pulled out her gun and shot Granny three times in the chest. Before she could shoot Henry, Granny fell on her back. Ruby gasped, then looked at Emma and transformed into a monstrous wolf. The wolf howled, then lunged at Emma. Emma threw herself out the way, and the wolf tumbled off the edge of the cliff, down into the forest. Unsure if the monster had survived, Emma grabbed Henry's shaking hand and ran. They kept running, until Emma slammed into somebody and fell backwards. Dazed, all she could whisper is, "Run...Henry..."
Then someone grabbed Emma by the hand and helped her up. Emma shook her head, then looked at the person.
"Good to know that you're still alive, love," said Captain Hook.
"Oh, Hook," Emma staggered back, "don't...don't kill me."
"Relax, I am not going to kill you," replied Hook, "I suggest we become allies."
Emma looked at Hook, "Can I trust you, Hook?"
Hook looked at Emma and nodded, "Yes. I have been to this island before, I was here with Milah one time. Unfortunately, I can honestly say that this is probably just as bad as Neverland. The ruler of this island gets his sick pleasure from trapping multiple people and forcing them to kill each other. I managed to escape before, and I can do it again."
"I hope so," replied Emma, "but first we need to find my mom and dad. And possibly Regina, if she hasn't reverted back to evil sociopath."
"And Henry, right?" asked Hook.
"Henry? Henry's right..." Emma looked around, "...here...HENRY! HENRY, WHERE ARE YOU?! HENRY!"
Henry woke up, tied to a tree. He looked around, "Emma..? Mom?"
"Mommy's not here anymore, I'm afraid," said a deep voice, a man with brown hair stepped into his view, "just you and me."
"I...I don't remember seeing you in Storybrooke..." Henry tilted his head, "...who are you?"
"I'm not from this...Storybrooke..." replied the man, "...it really does sound like a lovely place, but I have been trapped on this island for centuries, and I intend on getting off this island, one way or another."
