The Life and Times of Lord Sunday

The following is a transcript of the first entry of Lord Sunday's personal diary;

23 years 5 months and 12 days following the creation of The House

I am Lord Sunday, second child of The Architect and the Old One. I have been given the seventh key, and rule of the Incomparable Gardens, and I am therefore the most Superior Denizen, ruler of all places, whether they be in The House or in the outside universe. One day, like all things, I will revert back to nothing, from whence came all things, and as such, keep this Diary as a record of my life, and have urged others to do the same. If I am to die, I can only hope that the sorcery on this book works, and will find its way into the hands of the new Sunday, or other highest authority at that time.

No book can keep a record of any life without the very basic of facts. So I had better start at the beginning. As I have already mentioned, my mother is the Architect, the first to come from the Void, and creator of all things throughout these realms. My father is the Old One, who is shrouded in complete mystery. All I can do is guess at how he came to be. It is my personal belief that whatever it may be, a supreme being or just some strange circumstance, the lead my mother to come into being, also sent through a man, for reasons that I am sure you can work out. I have a brother, a... half-sister, for want of a word, and working relationships with the rulers of other sections of the house.

The brother, who is very fond of sorcery and music, has called himself 'the Piper', for he plays a pipe imbibed with sorcery, of which I disapprove. You may be wondering as to why we do not have names, like the other Denizens. That is because the Architect, in all her thoughtfulness, gave us the power and freedom to choose our own names.

Anyways, the half-sister, who chose her name to be Lady Saturday. She is not my true sister, and it is hard to explain. I shall atempt to do so in my next entry. She has rule of the Upper House, though I believe, as first child to the Architect, should have rule of the Incomparable Gardens. I believe she may know this, too, though only in her heart, as she has not confronted me about it. She, like my brother, is interested in sorcery which defines so much we know. She is rather good at most magic, too, and I feel that, with time and patience will become a most powerful sorcerer. I am very proud of her progress in the magical arts. She learns more every day, and indeed even makes experiments to try to discover more. Many an experiment can go wrong, and I fear that, without the protection of her blood and the Key, would not survive half of the results. In fact, she has already lost quite a few fingers to the destructive forces of Nothing. However, she has contributed an entire chapter on Nothing to the magical dictionaries and guides.

That is all I will write for the first entry to this journal. I shall attempt a record once a year; however, in times of trouble or hardship this may not be possible, or practical. I shall write more in the next entry, as I shall be describing the works of my father & mother, and my fellow rulers.

Ok! What did you think? Likes, Dislikes... you know, the kind of questions you'd find on a PHSE paper.

Should I write more? Should I write less? Am I a fool with no hope of survival?

Please Review! PLEASE!

I even take flamers.

Course I'll just ignore them...

UPDATE:

Before you say anything, Saturday is a kind-of sister to Sunday. I will not reply to ANY reviews on that topic.

Also, the Mariner comes later.
