"Moving"

I DON'T OWN INUYASHA!

Kagome sat on the edge of the well, her backpack at her feet. She sighed, her head in her hands. 'Oh, InuYasha..' She thought. Just as she thought that, InuYasha jumped down from the top of a tree.

"Hey, Kagome!" He yelled, landing in front of her. "Why are you just sitting here?" He asked. "Everyone's hungry! Did you bring any ramen?" He demanded. She sighed.

"InuYasha, sit, boy." She muttered softly.

"What the heck was that for?!!" InuYasha demanded, getting up and brushing himself clean of all of the dirt on his red kimono.

Kagome sighed again. InuYasha softened a bit. "Kagome, is something wrong?" He asked. She shook her head, perking up.

"Forget it, I'm fine." She said. "Come on, let's get to the others!" She said, grabbing her overstuffed yellow backpack and heading off to Kaede's hut. InuYasha shrugged off her odd behavior, and followed her, walking next to her.

Once they got to the hut, Kagome sat down. Sango smiled. "Hey, Kagome, welcome back." She said.

"Yes, welcome back, lady Kagome." Miroku added. Kagome smiled at them.

"Thanks, guys." She said, pulling out some of her home-made food. Inuyasha had his arms folded inside his kimono.

"Why don't you ever bring any GOOD food?" He asked. Kagome sent death glares at him.

"Sit boy! SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!" She yelled, and then began to eat her food.

"WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THAT?!" InuYasha demanded. Kagome ignored him.

Sango and Miroku rolled their eyes. Shippo just mumbled something about him being an idiot.

After they finished their food, Kagome stood up. 'It's now or never..' She thought. "InuYasha?" She asked.

"What?" He responded, standing as well.

"Can I..Um..Talk to you for a minute?" She asked.

"Feh, whatever." He said, and followed her as she walked outside.

They both walked over towards the well. Kagome sat on the edge. InuYasha stood by her. "So, what's up, Kagome?" InuYasha asked. Kagome sighed.

"InuYasha, I'm moving." She said. He didn't say anything.

"What's that mean?" He asked. She sighed, for what had to be the sixth time that day.

"It means that I'm not going to live at the shrine anymore. I..I won't be able to see you anymore." She said, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. InuYasha looked dumbfounded.

"When?" he managed to choke out.

"Today." She said. "I found out a month ago..I just didn't know how to tell you. I have to leave right now. The movers are here. And lady Kaede said that once I leave, the well will be sealed. Forever." She whispered, tears falling freely now.

He seemed angry at her. 'How could she leave me like this?!!' He thought. 'After everything we've been through together!' His anger getting the best of him, once again, he turned around. "Feh…Whatever." He said. Kagome looked as though he had pierced a stake through her heart.

"I..I.." She said. "Tell Sango and Miroku I said bye." She said, picking up her backpack.

InuYasha only then realized his mistake. 'I love her..What am I doing?' He thought. "Kagome, wait!" he yelled, turning around. "I.." he said, but she had already jumped through. The well was closed.

"Love you." He finished, as he stood there, heartbroken.
