Written in class, well the second half, when I was supposed to be working. XD (The teacher stepped out real quick so I get to post this here.) Anyway, this is kinda like a sequel to Noel's Point but in Alba's point of view on coming home that night after he left. It's a little happier than what I was originally going to make so my Alba muse got lucky and isn't going through all that angst at the moment. Um... I guess enjoy?
Alba gave a sigh as he rested his forehead against the door that led to his apartment. By his feet the two kittens were meowing happily, pawing at his pants as they tried to get his attention. Another sigh escaped him, a trembling one, when he had noticed how the collars that Soiree had made them glistened in the moonlight.
Soiree…With a shake of his head Alba reached out and turned the knob, letting the kittens run inside to their bowl of food and water that was kept in the kitchen. Slow, tired footsteps followed after the two runts to make sure that they had enough food. When he noticed the bowl was filled enough he ran a hand through his red and white hair shakily. Once his gloved hand had reached the end of his locks he pulled off his sun glasses and dropped them off onto the kitchen counter along with the keys to his car.
He had known that Noel wouldn't like him coming home late, hell everyone would give him a hard time, but he just couldn't bring himself to care. After everything he just needed a little time to think but the only thing that came to mind was that woman's voice speaking of how she couldn't save his younger twin and with those words came pain. How was he supposed to hide his pain and be a great leader when the one person that held him up through everything wasn't by his side?
There was a laugh somewhere to the side of him and he could have sworn that there was a voice calling to him. The words weren't coherent but he knew they were; "Don't let it bother you so much Aniki. Things will get better, you'll see!" Then there was warmth. Probably Soiree smiling, his smiles always gave such a warm feeling that Alba couldn't help but respond to and smile in return. And he couldn't resist it now. "You're right, Soiree. Just wait for me, all right?"
As he stepped forward to go to the bedroom he tossed his jacket on the couch then stopped in the light of the moon shining through the window, staring out as if in a daze. "Meow." One of the cats cried out and Alba quickly turned to look at the door way. There one of the kittens was sitting and waiting while he could see the other already getting comfortable on the bed. And with a smile he gave a nod. "I'm coming, I'm coming."
