"...There is probably no one left to receive this message. If there is someone, please read attentively, as this will explain everything...and everyone. Xana has taken control of everything technical, mechanical, and electrical. Xana is a multi-agent system, created for the very opposite of what is now happening. Must I dare explain? You all have seen it, the situation is indeed grave. In some ways, I confess, I gave life to this mad machine, I fought it – I destroyed it. Good things never happen twice, so I am convinced; but I've changed my mind after Xana came back and was defeated once again. Not in the same way, mind you.
"Since you are struggling to keep yourself together long enough to read through this, I will make it brief. What you've seen happen before your eyes are the monsters Xana has so long kept on the all-too-secret realm called Lyoko. This digital void was breathless, a scheme of man, and an altogether wonder to the mind – with horrid consequences upon awakening. Imagine the imagination and creativity of a man brilliant enough to create such a world! One to live forever, or at least while this world remains in its original, manufactured condition. And to think...I've kept this hidden. And for good reason. Could I ever imagine what might have happened if the world knew, if they had told, if I had been so ignorant?
"Xana...mankind's enemy, a devil machine. He has taken another form. That is how powerful a man's mind can be – how dangerous, how beautiful, how under taught. 'He'. Xana has a personality. What some men feared – machines becoming all too human, too emotional, too... I can hear them now, even as I write to you, survivor. The human race has become Xana's, which is too great a number. They bare the mark of Xana in their eyes. The possessed work alongside Xana's creatures, it is most horrible...most...horrible. They're warped and distorted. Even now I can feel the earth rumble beneath my feet as Xana's prized monster roams the streets of a once beautiful city. The Kolosis, an enemy defeated by the most valiant of warriors, has now returned.
"This message was longer than expected, but I felt it necessary to explain the strange occurrence – the truth. To any of mankind left, if there are any, I hope you receive this. In fact, if there are any computers that have not yet bowed to Xana's will. When all hoped is obliterated, hold to the only ground you have left. Some of the humans still live, which is grace enough. Power is futile, to join them is death. Save your rebellion, keep it as your shadow. You can either die a man or a machine. But others, like myself, will die with the efforts of a savior.
