He sat in his room, tapping his daylight ring on the arm of his wooden chair.
He should really quit this ring-tapping habit. Damn Stefan for infecting him with it.
What's so bad about kissing her, anyway? It's not as if she didn't want it either.
Stefan had heard about it a few nights ago and had resolved to break his jaw. He had felt the bones fit back together.
You weren't supposed to do that, she told him the next day. I don't have any feelings for you, Damon. It's still Stefan. It's always going to be Stefan!
He tapped his ring some more. Well, I guess that's what I get, huh? For bringing him back to you?
It wasn't the first time he kissed her. They had kissed a lot of times before, but there were three that really stood out for him.
The first time, when he brought back her necklace. But then he compelled her to forget it.
The second time, when he lay dying and she actually kissed him of her own accord.
The third time, his favorite, when they were in Denver and she brought her walls down and they kissed passionately.
Tapping his ring, he thought of the days when no one cared if his actions were right or wrong except his brother.
Come to think of it, he missed Andie. She understood him, sort of. He actually felt some sort of concern for her. And then Stefan just had to kill her.
Everything just kept coming back to Stefan. Yeah, I get it. It's always gonna be Stefan.
I don't deserve you... but my brother does. God, what was he thinking? He wished he had never said that to her.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
He should never have compelled her when they first met.
So, Damon, tell me. What is it that I want?
You want a love that consumes you. You want passion and adventure, and even a little danger... I want you to get everything you're looking for.
He felt his brain hurt with all this thinking.
He needed alcohol. He wondered if Alaric was at the Grill.
A/N: I wonder if I kept Damon in character. Oh well. First TVD fic, go easy on me. This is a drabble. Maybe. I don't know. It's short. This is Day 2 of 30 days of Drabble Challenge. The theme is 'accusation'.
