It was just a dance.
A simple, short, sweet dance.
It was meaningless, though.
She meant nothing to him, though he meant everything to her.
She was obviously just a simple companion at best and a 'stupid ape' at worst.
Nothing more, nothing less.
She felt for him, she really, truly did.
But she was nothing.
They danced to their own song, one that no one else but them could hear.
It was bells and drums, sorrow and hope, and so much more, all in one.
They danced to the stars and suns and moons and everything in the universe.
To others they danced like they were in love.
But they denied it.
Neither believed that there was a chance that the other would return their feelings.
Their dance meant everything.
But they really, truly believed that it was nothing more than a simple dance between two friends.
It was a just a dance.
Well, here you go! Two stories in one day, certainly an achievement since I never seem to be able to write nowadays.
This takes place right in that part where the Doctor and Rose are dancing in the TARDIS at the end of 'The Doctor Dances'.
I've noticed that these little ficlets seem to start off in Rose's POV then go to general, and I'm very sorry if that confuses you. It's completely unintentional, I promise. I'd try and mark off where it switches but these are so short it would mess up the flow.
Anyway, I really hope you liked it. Please review.
