"Artie, take the blind fold off, I can't see anything!"

"That's the whole point of the blindfold you git."

"But it's hard to walk"

"That's why I'm leading you"

Two men walked across the open field, hands clasped. One would occasionally trip on the bumpy ground, but the other man would always catch him, making sure he never fell.

"Are we there yet?"

"Can't you be quiet for two bloody minutes?"

"I'd try if you told me where we're going"

"I-It's a secret"

On and on they went, never losing contact with the other, until the shorter stopped abruptly. The other man stumbled at the sudden halt and fell to the ground, tugging the other down. He made a move to stand but was stopped by the British man. Their hands disconnected. Slowly the blindfold around his eyes was untied, and as it fell the eager smile on the man's face dropped into a pout.

"Iggs, I don't get it. We're in the middle of a field, at night. What's the deal?"

He looked at his counterpart and was perplexed to see the other man's head turned away.

"Look up" came a gruff voice

Alfred complied and laid back, looking up at the sky. It was amazing.

It was a dark rich black, the kind of black that seemed to never end. Dotted against it were hundreds of twinkling stars. More than he had seen in a long time. The Milkyway stretched across the middle. A bridge that seemed to go on forever. A spirit road. The moon stood in the center. Full and bright. The sight took his breath away.

The two nation laid there for a long time, silently contemplating what was above them. Finally Britain turned his head to face America, surprised at how quiet he was being.

As if he could feel his eyes on him the younger nation spoke.

"You certainly can't see this in the city. Too many lights."

He shifted so he faced England "You know, I had almost forgotten that the sky could look like this. I had forgotten that it could be so beautiful." Blue eyes stared into green "Thank you Artie for helping me remember"

Arthur, noticing the tone of the other man's voice, felt himself blushing. But he couldn't bring himself to break the eye contact. So they stayed there. Staring.

Finally, feeling the tension that had formed between the two, Britain blinked and made as if to stand up. A hand reached up and grabbed his wrist. He looked down, and all he saw was the way Alfred's lips curled into a smile and how his eyes sparkled as he was pulled closer...closer...closer.

Then, in the middle of a field, under a vast night sky streaked with shooting stars, they kissed

So...I decided to try my hand at a usuk and I FAILED oh well. At least I can say I tried

Random change in topic. There is an island in the Uk called Sark Island which has been named a dark sky island. That means there is no outside lighting and cars/paved roads. Which means there's no light pollution, which means the night sky is beautiful. I thought it would be a cool place for a date. Ironically enough, from what I've gathered Sark Island is closer to France than it is the UK.
