Title: Sounded Wonderful
Rating: K
Summary: Elizabeth plans to take a nice nap in the lazy afternoon sun, but is soon disrupted.
SOUNDED WONDERFUL
She sat alone on the dock, her fingers gently teased the water, sending ripples out for the fish to run away from. Smiling, she laid down on her back, closing her eyes. A nice nap in the sun sounded wonderful. A nice, peaceful nap is exactly what was needed now. A nice, peaceful, lovely nap in the warm sun would be the greatest thing right now.
Feet bounded towards her. Only having time to open her eyes and scream "Don't!", she felt herself enveloped in strong arms and heaved over the side. Screaming, she flailed and caught a glimpse of her attacker hunched over, his red bandana slipping over his eyes as he laughed.
The water broke her fall, and she stopped flailing as soon as she went under. Luckily, she took a deep breath before going in, and she took in her surroundings as she started swimming towards the dock.
She managed to get to the side of the dock, and quietly surfaced, watching the pirate look out at over the water for her.
"Elizabeth?" he asked, concern now etching into his features.
Moving quickly, she reached out and grabbed his bare ankle. Pulling him sharply, he lost his balance and fell into the water beside her.
Now she laughed as Captain Sparrow surfaced, spurting out water.
"Not fair."
Elizabeth laughed as she placed her hands on his shoulders. "Nothing is fair between us." Pushing down, she kicked up and pushed Jack down. Her laughter soon turned into shrieks as he came up, wrapped his arms around her waist, and flipped her over.
She recovered, splashing water into his smiling face.
"Are you challenging me?" Jack asked, smirking.
"Only if you can catch me!" Elizabeth teased, going under and swimming away from him.
An afternoon playing in the water sounded wonderful. An afternoon playing in the water with her friend sounded even better.
