A young lioness was running through the forest, her chest about to burst. She turns and hears her pursuers closing in, their howls louder then ever. She finds more energy to sprint farther. She has to finish her task; she has to get her child to safety. Then she sees it, the Lamp Post. She was almost there. She sees the entrance to the Professors home. She bursts thru the doors.

"Faline! Are you alright?" asks the Professor.

Faline lies on the ground, gasping for air. "You must," se stops to catch her breath, "You must watch over her."

The professor turns and picks up the squirming bundle. He lifts the blanket to see a little baby girl.

"She does not have her abilities to shape shift yet, so she will remain in a human form until then," says Faline.

The professor nods and turns to the lioness, "but what about you?"

She turns to the wardrobe, " I must return, my king has already left, I will try to join him." Her face becomes sad, "but I might not make it. Just promise me one thing."

"Anything!" says the professor.

"Name her Kathline, take care of her till the next Kings and Queens come."

"Of course, anything for you my friend."

She turns to the sound f howling, " I must go, before they discover the wardrobe."

"Goodbye, my friend."

Faline, the True Queen of Narnia looks at her daughter one last time," goodbye, my angel." She rubs her nose on the necklace around the infants neck, " I love you." And the lioness turns and leaves the room, back to her fate in Narnia.

Professor Kirke looks at the wardrobe, then back at the bundle in his arms. " Well little Kat, why don't we go and get you something to eat. Think we're going to have a long night."

The baby girl giggles, and the professor smiles. Little did he know, that Kathline, the True Princess of Narnia has a long, epic journey ahead of her.
