I do not own Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.

P.S.-Lute is the best mage ever.

Thinking back on it, in hindsight, it was odd, how it all started for the knight.

"So what say you? Will we fight together?" he remembered asking her.

He watched her think for a few seconds, before she spoke up.

"No objections." She said simply, brushing an errant strand of violet hair out of her purple eyes.

Of course, it didn't stop there.

"We fight well together. Perhaps we should do it again."

"No objections."

It went even further when he asked her to join her in Renais when it was all over.

"No objections." She said, and he swore he saw her smirk.

They went to Renais, where she was quickly immersed in the Royal Library, which was unscathed in all the confusion of the war.

He asked if he could help her study, one day.

"No objections." She said, not taking her eyes off the massive book she was reading.

One day, he asked her if she would like to have dinner with him.

"No objections." She said. He smiled at the small joke between them.

The dinners were weekly, at first. Then they became more and more frequent, to the point of being daily.

"No objections."

They began to see more and more of each other ("No objections."). They started to take walks around the castle ("No objections."), and eventually, the town ("No objections.").

"Hey, can we go over there?" she asked pointing to a man selling books.

"No objections." He said, and this time he know he saw her smile. She even laughed.

It was a wonderful sound.

And finally, after a year and a half, he finally took a bit more daring step. He peered over the shining silver ring he held before him, set with a simple diamond.

"Will you marry me?"

He looked at her face- she had a smile so wide it covered half of her face, and tears were welling in her eyes.

"No objections…" she sniffed, throwing her arms around him. As they held each other for nearly an hour, she simply said the same thing, over and over…

"No objections."
