Falling.
Fast.
End.
Those are my sole thoughts right now as they are the only things I could possibly comprehend. Not even a moment ago she was standing beside me, our hands intertwined as we looked over the beautiful cliff and out to the endless ocean. She laughed as I moved my hands to cross over her stomach, hugging her tightly as I buried my head into the nape of her neck.
"Oh, Danny." She giggled, amethyst eyes sparkling with happiness as she spun around to face me. Her hands clasped my own, a smile wide on her face.
"You look beautiful in the moonlight, Sam." I murmured quietly, bringing her hand to my lips to place a small kiss upon it. Her face instantly reddened, eyes closed from embarrassment.
"Danny, you are so old fashioned!" She playfully smacked my hand away, turning to face the ocean once more.
"But that's what you love about me."
"It's nothing the only thing I love about you, you know." I blinked, a challenging smile appearing on her lips.
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, really." She hummed for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. She tapped her chin a few times before giving me a smirk.
"You're amazing in every way. You're courageous, caring, heroic, and..." I kissed her gently, arms protectively wrapping around her small frame.
"And...?" I said after a few moments.
"Unique," I smiled warmly, hands interlocked as we made our way over to the wooden bench. Sam placed her head on my shoulder, her hands crossing at the wrists and laying limp in her lap. I placed my head on top of hers, my eyes comfortably shut as I drank in the happiness.
"Danny?"
I never got to reply as there was a sudden flash of white light. I screamed, as did Sam. I felt my body launch itself into the air before colliding with the hard earth. I groaned for a moment, opening my eyes a sliver to take in my surroundings before fully reacting. It was then I panicked.
Sam's unconscious body sailed through the air, far and high enough that it passed over the protective fence with no issue. Within a second I was on my feet, ready to leap over the fence and save my beloved Sam.
Her eyes, so pure and clear, were shut tight as she fell while her midnight black hair billowed around her in a horrible yet god like way. Her limbs were like jelly, flailing in the wind erratically without a single ounce of restraint.
I jumped.
I felt gravity act upon me instantly, pulling me closer to my death with every millisecond. I dove headfirst, my arms behind me as I fell with an angelic grace. I outstretched my hands, making my body as small as I possibly could to stop the air resistance.
Only an arm's length between us.
The thought of going ghost never crossed my mind as I grabbed Sam, the force of colliding with her enough to stir her from unconsciousness. I forgot to think, and the result was our out of control freefall. My mind was blank, all I could do was stare as the waves crashing over the pointed rocks and watch as they grew closer, and closer...
And closer.
"Danny," Sam whispered.
"Yes?" I replied weakly.
"I love you."
I leave it up for you to decide what happened. :D In fact, tell me in review, I would love to see what you guys think happened.
Inspiration was Requiem for Dream by Prince Negafellaga as well as a Sailor Moon trailer, which I will post a link to on my profile :).
Hope you enjoyed!
