Because I'm paranoid, I just want to say that if other people wrote a story similar to this (or, more unlikely, exactly the same) I must apologize but as far as I'm aware, this is my own original version of the not-so-original idea. Okay... I apologize a lot for a lot of stuff, sorry. The idea came from that list of unusual date ideas on tumblr/9gag.
Disclaimer: I do not own Young Justice and the idea isn't even original, just my spin of it.
"Dude, I'm bored!"
"I know, you've said that like five times." Wally and Dick were hanging out at Wayne Manor, sitting on the couch in front of the TV, not really watching whatever show was on. The characters on the show had built enormous pillow and blanket forts and were now waging war against each other. This gave Wally an idea.
"Let's make a pillow fort!" Wally nudged Dick.
"Aren't we a little old for pillow forts?" The speedster stared at Batman's protégé, looking rather unimpressed.
"You can never be 'too old' for pillow forts. Come on!" And with that, Wally grabbed the cushion Dick was sitting on and pulled it out from under him.
"Wally!" The ebony squawked as he crashed to the ground.
"Please?"
"I don't know who told you that pouting worked for you, but they were wrong." The jab didn't stop Wally's puppy eyes though. Dick rolled his own blue eyes at his friend's antics before smiling and agreeing.
"Only if we can have a paper plane war."
"Deal. Alfred's gonna kill us." Wally chuckled as he sped off to gather as many pillows, blankets and sheets as he could find. Dick grinned and cleared everything breakable out of the room.
An hour later, Bruce Wayne and Barry Allen walked in on the two 16 year olds, each in their own fort, throwing paper planes at each other. It appeared that both of them were quite adept at making the flimsy projectiles.
'A little too good.' Bruce thought as one of Wally's planes hit him in the shoulder.
"Oh my god! I am so sorry Mr. Wayne; I didn't see you standing there." Wally chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. Dick turned to see his guardian standing in the doorway, not looking very amused. Beside him, Barry was bent over in laughter. Bruce ignored the blonde and addressed the two boys.
"Does Alfred know you rearranged his couches?"
"Not exactly." Dick admitted. The vigilante-by-night glanced between the two boys, a small smile working its way across his face. He snatched one of the planes from his ward and flicked it towards Wally. The redhead flinched slightly as it hit his exposed head. Dick laughed at Wally's shocked expression and laughed even harder when Barry zoomed over to his nephew and threw another one back, only to have Bruce dodge.
"Don't just sit there laughing, this is your fort. Do you want it to be overrun with speedsters?" Dick grinned and made more planes, handing them over to Bruce who threw them with perfect accuracy. Across the room, Barry and Wally had a similar plan, except Barry folded the paper and Wally threw.
Alfred walked in on them, still fighting but now just lobbing paper balls at each other and shook his head. It was rare for Bruce to enjoy himself like this, so the butler didn't dare interrupt the moment. Instead, he headed back to the kitchen to make enough dinner to support his boys and the two speesters.
Kudos to you if you got the Community reference I slipped in there. Otherwise, I'd love some feedback? Was it good, bad, could be better? I feel like they're a bit OOC but...
