Gods Live Among Us

Mightier was the whale then the harpoon

Only to be taken down by a vastly overdue breeze

What was their purpose, to serve the weak hearted?

We touched the rose as we awoke each morning looking at one another in angst and curiosity…no we weren't here first

Breezes of enchantment gave the air a lighter sense of taking the hostility that had weakened the souls for generations

No we're not perfect, and we aren't living…but we do have one thing in common

Do you really believe someone is stronger then you when you wield the sword of time?

You look at the size of their blade instead of the size of their fear for you

Strength was the essence when you were grown, but you abused it

Slashing the tears away that had caused you so much grief

People watched in horror and depressed holding their hearts together by a single thread

You took yourself out of the rain because you were afraid

No one was watching when you took one last swipe across your chest

And yet blood never felt so painless

The heavens didn't answer and the underground didn't want you

Be thankful you got the wrong end of the deal

For if you were right they might have encompassed you in a circle of hell

They sit about you…looking in the eyes of the people you love

Hoping to distract you from the very purpose of your existence

Still you ignore them

Upset they are and growing weaker by the moment

Hold on to that last rose before it falls

And survival will be taken to another level of innocence

You were here to remember it

Time was on your side before they would arrive again

Yes they do live among us

Watching…waiting…remembering…

Perfection
