Perfect - I own nothing

Kyo ran towards the gates as fast as he could. His orange hair dancing wildly in the wind, his breath heavy as he struggled not to stop and simply breathe in deeply to enjoy the sweet fragrance of the lavender field he moved through.

He had to keep on.

He laughed freely as he neared the edge of the field, his strength renewed as he saw who awaited him. His hands waved swayed frantically at his sides as he ran faster towards the small figure in white. The girl turned, her dress swaying in the heavy breeze, her hand holding her hat down against the wind and as he neared he saw the smile that broke out on her face. As he neared, he could hear her giggles as she ran towards him, and her hat flew off, but she didn't stop trying to move towards him.

"Kyo-kun!" she called. "You're back! I knew you were! I just knew you were!" she said reaching out her arms to him.

He embraced her immediately, swinging her around, completely content with her presence. Finally, he settled her back down, her laughs like chimes and something else that was just her.

"Tohru, I missed you so much," he blurted suddenly, and she smiled up at him, her slender fingers tracing his jaw-line in a tender caress.

"I missed you, too Kyo. So much… it felt like you weren't ever going to come back, but you're back."

"I'm back," he breathed out, no longer relishing in the smell of flowers, but in her smell. How she smelled of the flowers in a much more natural way, she smelled like home and like him, like security. He felt different things tugging at his chest; Determination, happiness, relief and love.

Determination: because he never wanted to leave her again if he had anything to do about it.

Happiness: because he was just happy to be back in her arms.

Relief: because he came back to find her safe and sound, completely secure in her surroundings.

Love: because he loved her and everything she had given for him. He felt loved by her, and that was the greatest thing of all.

She leaned forward, hesitantly, as if he would disappear for another couple of months if she moved too fast, and he saw something flash in her eyes that nearly tore his heart in half: fear. He lowered his face, their noses brushing briefly as he focused his eyes on her lips, and moved the rest of the way. He made sure that the kiss told her exactly what he felt for her, the burning love that had helped him throughout the time he'd been away, making sure to reassure her that he would always be there for her no matter what happened.

And right there, in that moment, everything was perfect.
