Made With A Scarlet Ribbon

"Master?" Gir asked. Zim sighed. "What is it now, Gir?" He replied.

"It's gonna be Christmas again tomorrow. I wanna know what you want." Gir stated. "All I want for Christmas is for you to stop annoying me." Zim dully told Gir. "Master! How could you want that? I…I thought you loved me. Just like I love you." Gir cried. Zim was disgusted by Gir's outburst. But he was also pleased, not to mention confused. He thought that Gir was just plain insane. Zim had never known that Gir had any emotions- especially…. love? Tears came into both Zim and Gir's eyes as Gir ran out of the room. Luckily, Gir hadn't noticed what Zim was working on in his laboratory.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Gir was doing something quite peculiar.

He was working on a gift for Zim. At first, it seemed to look like a sad attempt of a clown drawing. Gir chuckled when he realized this, and then kept on working. When he was finished, it was like nothing anything anyone has ever seen before. Well, except Zim, who had always cried about it in so called secret. Gir had always known behind Zim's back. "Hmmm… It needs one more thing." Gir whispered to himself just before putting a scarlet ribbon on the gift. Gir was pleased with his work. He was confused at himself for doing that. "Maybe it's just rubbing off form Master…." Gir thought.

Just at the same time, Zim was continuing the thing that he was working on earlier- a gift for Gir. "Just a few more tweaks…." He used some sort of heat blaster on Gir's gift. "Ingénues!" Zim squealed quickly as glared at his wonderful masterpiece of a gift. "But it still needs one more thing…"

Zim said as he put a scarlet ribbon on top of the gift.

"Wake up! Wake up, Master! It's Christmas!" Gir cheered "Yaaaay…" Zim moaned as he got off his PAK Recharging Dock. "Listen, Gir… I'm sorry I've been mean to you for all these years. So I want to make it up to you this time. Soooo here." Zim said as he pulled the gift over to Gir. It was a sculpture of Mimi- Tak's android that was destroyed in battle. Gir has always wanted to see her again. And now he could always see her- and made with a scarlet ribbon on top. "Master," Gir replied with tears in his eyes. "Thank you so much. I've… also… got a gift for you too…." Gir drifted off as he grabbed Zim's gift and handed it to him. Zim's gift was a plush toy- of Zim's old hud- Junka- a pet Zim used to have since he was only a smeet. Oh, he loved her so. At least… until she died. As a matter of fact, huds only live for seven Irken years. Gir never knew what Junka looked like, but it seems like he did perfect- thanks to all the teary descriptions of her. All made with a scarlet ribbon. "Thank you, Gir. Merry Christmas." Zim cheerfully told Gir. "I love you, Gir." Tears welled up into Gir's cyan-lit eye as he replied to Zim "I… I love you too, Master."
