Kenna Harrison took a deep breath, and walked into the office. Today was her first day as an intern for The New Yorker and she was determined to make a good first impression. She was too busy fixing her shirt that she didn't realize that someone was in the way until she bumped right into them.

"I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry!" she looked up and saw a pair of big, beautiful, blue eyes staring at her though a pair of black glasses.

"It's okay," the guy smiled at her and his voice was as sexy as his eyes were. "Is it your first day too?"

She smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm Kenna Harrison," she stuck her hand out and he shook it.

"Sebastian de Poitiers, but you can call me Bash."

"Nice to meet you, Bash."

"Nice to meet you too, Kenna."

It had been two years since they had started, and both Bash and Kenna were full-fledged reporters now. Their daily banter was something that their co-workers had grown used to, and they were all secretly rooting for the two to get together.

"Morning gorgeous," Bash smiled at Kenna as she walked in and sat down.

"Morning handsome."

"How was your date last night?"

"Awful. The guy was old enough to be my dad, and he thought I was going to put out afterward."

Bash laughed. "That's why I keep telling you that you should go on a date with me, sweetheart."

"In your dreams, Bash."

"Only every night."

Kenna rolled her eyes but smiled and went back to her story. After they had worked all day, Bash and Kenna left at the same time and ended up in the elevator together.

"This is turning into a cheesy office romance TV show," Bash smiled.

"We would have to be in a relationship for it to be a romance."

"Come on, sweetheart. You know you love me."

"We shouldn't date, Bash. You can't mix work and pleasure."

"Who says?"

"Everyone."

"You and I aren't just anyone, Kenna. We would be great together and you know it."

"Why are so determined after two years?"

"Because I can't chase you forever."

"So stop."

"Just let me try something."

"What?"

Bash grabbed Kenna's cheeks and kissed her passionately. She responded just like he wanted her to, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back. They kissed all the way down, and when the door opened their editor found his two favorite writers with messy hair and half torn off clothes, blushing furiously.
