As the sun began to set, the town began to glow a warm yellow. People lit candles and lanterns. Towns folk gathered in the center of the town to celebrate, for it was a special day. The Spirit Festival was about to begin. I never really cared about anything like that, usually I thought of celebrations differently. I saw them as a perfect day for earning a profit.

As I slip through the crowd, I quickly grab any trinket, and any purse that I see. Then I see a wealthy looking tourist. He had the appearance that he was from Ba Sing Se. I reach towards his pocket.. "Hey You There stop this instant!" Without thinking or looking back I grab the little sack of coins from the tourist's pocket and run. The guard noticed me. I sprint towards the slums of the town. I know this town like I know the back of my hand. My Lion-dillo, Shin must be around the corner. As I arrive Shin lifts his head. He was napping. "Shin Go Go Go Go!" I yell, as he gets up I leap on the saddle, snatch out my whip and strike the ground. SMACK! Before I knew it we were gone into the vast stretch of barren.

I scan the land for any trees as I spot a scrawny looking one. It was twisted and bare. Both panting and exhausted Shin collapses near the tree and I lay down right next to his warm fur. I unclip the saddle and reach my hand into one of the satchels. I grabbed a neatly packed ostrich-horse leg and threw it to Shin. He devours it and I take out out an apple. while I'm eating the apple I count today's profits. "Hmm would of been a lot more if the guard wouldn't have ruined everything" I say to myself. I lay out my finds: a jade ring: half jade, half bronze; a pouch of painted clay beads, and small bag of coins. I count the coins: One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. "Eh, enough for tomorrow's breakfast." I murmured. I put everything back in my satchel and lay down. I fell asleep fast due to the soft, even purring of Shin.
