I hope this story will get some reviews… my last TVD story failed. :)
Um… So… this is my take on Delena. I am a huge fan of those two, and Nian too. I look forward to Thursdays thanks to them!
OH MY GOD THE SEX SCENES. My friend made me watch them with her 400 times (not that I have a problem with that), and that gave me this idea. It's a bit AU, but it's also kind of like Twilight, with Edward and Bella. It's kind of like the first and second seasons, before they became… more… intimate? I think that's the right word.
Hope you like!
Elena shifted to her side, still deep asleep. She was oblivious to the dark-haired guy leaning casually on the window seat, one foot up, his chin on his jean-clothed knee. The man, whose name was Damon, watched the brown haired girl with his blue eyes.
If Elena had seen his eyes, she would have seen one full of love, gentle compassion, kindness, and lust. The first three words are never those that come to mind when one thinks of Damon. They were directed at her, only her, never anyone else in the past century or so. She would have seen a side of Damon no one, except for Rose, had ever seen. A side that no one, except for maybe Stefan, would ever acknowledged was there, hidden below the tightly-knitted layers; below the façade Damon put up all the time.
The side that made Damon love his brother so much that he would give up the girl- Elena- just so that Stefan would be happy.
But Elena didn't wake up.
Damon sighed, getting onto his feet. He passed a hand through his hair as he looked out the window. It was dawn: this was the time when Damon left his secret nightly post of 'keeping Elena safe'.
He leaned over the bed, and straightened flowery comforter around her, and murmured, "It's cold. Keep warm."
He leaned forward and lightly - so lightly that any bystander would have to contemplate whether or not it had actually happened - kissed the forehead of his love.
If Elena had woken up right then, her sight of vision would have been filled with piercing blue eyes that melted the hearts of girls so easily, and would have smelled the piney fragrance both Salvatore brothers had in their hair. (One of the benefits of being a vampire.)
She would have felt the immense strength and years of practice at controlling the desire it took Damon to not take her in his arms and kiss her.
But she didn't wake up.
"Don't worry. I'll have you someday." Damon said to himself as he walked away, but then he turned around.
"I will always choose you."
Then, as delicately as a cat, he jumped out the open window.

The slight breeze that Damon made as he went out the window stirred Elena, making her moan in her sleep and turn to her other side. But she didn't wake up.
If she had, then she would have seen the note on the pillow next to her that Damon had left for her in his fancy 19th century calligraphy:
"If only you had woken up."

I know, it's short. I really don't have time for a longer one. It's the first Delena fic that I've ever done that I'm proud of, and I hope you liked it.
I got the inspiration from hopelessromantic549 's fics of Delena. Basically, I've been reading ever one of her fics throughout the past few days.
Review! I'd love to hear your ideas and opinions!
I updated for two reasons today:
Tomorrow's the last TVD episode (mid-finale), then it comes back January 17th (at least I have something to look forward to during exam week!)
and
I would have liked (for once) to update before one of my show's airs.
And I have no time tomorrow.
Thanks!
Xx,
Allysa
(PS: I answer all PM's!)
