I climbed into the space cab and prepared for the ride to my new high school, Galaxy high! How original. I sneered at the driver behind his back, how is this creepy creature with glasses nonetheless supposed to drive us, let alone safe, anywhere? My clothes are always the best and my muscles are the absolute greatest as are my muscles and everything else about me. Well I sure work at them. High school in space? This ought to be an adventure of a lifetime, not to mention the girls I'll date, huh if they even know what dating is. I'll bet they're so backwards, they make Amy Brighttower look advanced. Man, do they have a sport team? Well what does it matter, I'll be on it without a tryout, they probably have telepathy to tell them how great I am, I should think. Come to think of it, I won't even have to study either; aliens have powers and access to information, maybe they'll merely copy the information straight into my brain. When I return home, I'll be so advance intellectually and in sports that all universities will be falling over themselves to hand me a scholarship -- or several. For a space cab, it sure is slow. I reclined as best as possible in my seat, relaxed as a newborn kitten in sleep. Soon, I, Doyle Cleverlobe would be more advanced and popular than what I already am. I only hope Amy won't follow me around continuously, she'll ruin everything; back on Earth she's easy to escape but in this high school, there will only be two earthlings so that may pose some problem. I glared in her direction but the pathetic creature took no notice, she was too busy gawking out the window. Good, at least she isn't a pest – yet! I'll just set her straight when we get there, no baby Amy for me, cool guys don't hang around with low lives like her. Why couldn't they have sent along a cheerleader instead of Amy, the biggest bookworm with the highest grades in the entire school? At last, we arrived at Galaxy High to begin our new life. It's got a pink sign? Don't tell me one of the school colors is pink because I, for one am not about to wear a pink sports uniform or anything else in that girlish color. I jumped out of the cab and headed toward the school, excited about my new life.
