The whistful morning breeze struck me as confusing. I had just woken up, and the 8 am wind was already peeling away at my skin. My cheeks flushed and bloomed a cherry pink, mirroring how I felt. Since, this was my first hangover, and my first hand-in-hand walk with Axel. Boy, was that a hell of a night.
Axel was leading me to a narrow building that squeezed significantly in between two larger apartment complexes. The road dawned of ashes, and it's sweet smell frosting my nose. I needed a cig'. And, hopefully the morning glow would light it in crimson flames. Considering the sun filtered and flickered through the rooftops hovering above us.
I squeezed his hand tighter. Trying to erase myself. My head pounded and moaned against my skin. And the alcohol that once slept in my body, would soon be awoken on the asphalt beneath my feet. Last night, Axel brought me home to his house. A torn and ridden piece of a mangled mess, that somehow captivated me in a sense. And believe me, its not like myself to get all emotional and lovey-dovey. But man how Axel lit up the room. His spiky strands enticing me into his bedroom. The way he swaggered into the bedroom enticed me to remove my clothes. And the way he touched me, enticed me to go along.
He was a brilliant persuader.
So I admired the guy, I'll give ya' that. But, for now, I wanted to keep our relationship hush. So that the other 11 men in our "cult" wouldn't push me to the limit. Even though, they had all expected Axel and I to go all the way. Since we fiddled with each others cloaks, and the way he'd manage to steal my guitar for laughs.
Yeah, definitely hush.
