"Show me a hero, and I'll write you a tragedy." -F. Scott Fitzgerald
Nine million people gathered in time square to mourn The Blonde Chameleon.
The screens all showed The Chameleon in various heroic acts, the biggest screen showing his final act of valor.
Nine million people gathered to mourn the death of their fallen hero, but one person was mourning for a completely different reason. He wasn't thinking of the heroic acts of the past, he was thinking of the broken promises of a future. He was remembering the promises of "this isn't forever" and "We'll be together one day" and how one day would now never come.
Nine million people gathered on time square to mourn the death of their hero, and the boy with the hazel eyes mourned his unlived life.
A/N: This is just a quick little drabble I wrote after seeing the above quote on tumblr. It made me think of BLAM and I just had to write something.
Thanks for reading!
