AN: Hey there! I'm pretty new to writing fan fiction so I apologise if its not on top form! But I really hope you like this one- I personally love the Hummelberry friendship

As soon as Kurt had left the room to go get "cyber lucky" with Blaine, Rachel crept into the bathroom and peeled up her shirt. There, around her waist area was the printed words 'Finn' on her bare skin.

She felt bad for lying to Kurt about not getting a tattoo, but she wanted to keep it private as possible. This was the only way she could never forget Finn and the relationship they had shared. He had meant the world to her and she was beyond distraught at his passing.

The n she saw Kurt's shocked face in her reflection, standing in the doorway. She turned and braced herself for the anger, the hatred that she had lied to him.

But instead, Kurt walked over, in an almost stunned trance, and hugged her tightly. She was shocked at his calm, but as she felt his tears dampen her shoulder, she knew he would have understood and that she should have told him should have shown him.

She could feel her breath catch in her throat that the tattoo was now all she had of Finn's and she let go, sobbing slightly and dampening Kurt's Gucci jumper with her tears. She felt Kurt's hand rub against her back and move to her hair, soothing her as she wept

Once they had shed tears and wiped them away, Kurt took her by the hand and led her out of the bedroom to the sofa and sat down with her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Kurt asked, concern coated over his face, eyes slightly puffy from the tears though his muffled voice from the tongue piercing ruined the effect slightly.

"I couldn't" she replied, looking ashamed "I felt silly for doing it"

"No, it's not silly" Kurt replied "It's a beautiful way of preserving his memory"

"Really?" she asked "You think?"

"Really" Kurt assured her "Now, I don't know about you but after all that I need a cookie"

"I thought you couldn't eat or drink because of the stud, though whatever possessed that far a rebellion I will fail to understand" she retorted teasingly.

Kurt just turned and waggled his tongue at her, stud glinting.

Rachel laughed at her brown haired friend. They hadn't always met eye to eye but she loved him for always cheering her up when she needed it. And despite the non-relation between the two, some of his routines strangely matched Finn's which made her feel right at home.

She would always have her memories of Finn, but she had a lifelong tattoo that would stay with her forever. She felt like she had a piece of Finn that could never been taken.
