I'm not surprised when my kitchen fireplace flares to life and emits a dark-haired seventeen-year-old, after all I asked him to come here. The death of my daughter and her husband hit me hard, but at least I had one small comfort; the same comfort I'm about to share with this young man. God and Merlin both know that this boy has been through so much in his short life and, from what I heard from Remus, he hardly complained.

I study the boy as he dusts himself off. He looks tired; wrung out. It's no doubt from the strain that was put on him during the war, but still he manages to smile at me. I decide that it's finally time to greet him.

"Hello, Harry, it's nice to see you again," I say, smile still on my face.

"It's nice to see you again, as well, Andromeda," he replies, weariness in his voice. Wordlessly, I beckon him to follow me; he follows silently. We head upstairs and towards the door at the end of the hall. I turn to him.

"I know you probably are wondering why I asked you to come here tonight, Harry. Though, from what Remus said about you, I wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't already figured it out. I waited a few days to do this because I figured that you might want to celebrate with your friends before this.

"Remus was adamant about making you Teddy's godfather and I know Dora agreed whole-heartedly. They put their faith in you to take care of him, and I know they made the right choice. Teddy's been my comfort for the last few days since everything happened and I want to share that with you. If you want, you can go inside and meet your godson, or you could leave now if you don't feel ready. I'll completely understand if you do leave. The choice is yours."

Harry looked at me though eyes meant for a man three times his age and replied calmly, "I'd like to see him." I nodded and opened the door allowing him to enter the room. Harry made a beeline for the crib, but once there he stopped. I came up beside him and glanced over at his face. The awe and surprise made the boy's face look so much younger, more his age. Harry watched the baby sleeping in the crib before him and whispered, "He's so small…Can I…pick him up? Hold him?" I nodded mutely.

Harry's hands were gentle as he picked up the small being. Without taking his eyes off the boy, he moved over to the rocking chair that was situated by the window. He quietly sat and rocked his godson. He stayed like that for so long and I knew I had done the right thing by finally sharing my comfort with him. No doubt he was in emotional pain; after all, he had lost so much in this fight.

I finally interrupted him only when he started to doze in the chair. He looked so disappointed when I took the boy to lay him back into his crib. I knew I couldn't let him leave in the half-asleep state he was in so I escorted him to one of the spare bedrooms and ordered him to rest. He nodded and reclined into the bed. His eyes slid shut and he was asleep before I could even shut the door.

As I headed for my own room, I knew that Remus and Dora had made the right choice in a godfather for Teddy. No one could deny that Harry had instantly fallen in love with the little one. As I drifted off to sleep, I felt secure that no matter what happened in the future, at least Teddy had someone he could turn to.
