Day 4 for Countdown for Christmas
Prompt: Mistletoe
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter
It had been weeks since Draco had had any action. And he could only blame himself. Really, he ought to have not underestimated his girlfriend when it came to who could go the longest without caving in and jumping each other. Draco had never been a good gambler, though, so it's not surprising that he was minutes away from losing the bet he had made with Luna. The first one to jump the other's bones would be the one to have to break their new engagement to their friends first, and neither were very keen on doing that soon. For obvious reasons.
But that girl had not cracked one bit. He thought if maybe he turned up his sex appeal (which he had plenty of, thank you very much), that maybe she would break. Now here he was, 22 days, 8 hours, 4 minutes, and 39 seconds later when Draco knew he had to do something. 'Mistletoe', he thought, 'Luna can't say no to Mistletoe.'
So there Draco was one night, casting a spell to make Mistletoe appear, when she finally came home from work.
"Draco?" she asked, as she hesitantly stepped into the doorway. Luna hadn't seen the Mistletoe until she had walked straight under it, and felt her body stopped.
"It's charmed," Draco smirked, walking around the couch. "You won't be able to move until you kiss me." Then he stopped right in front of her, also feeling the Mistletoe's charm freeze him to the ground. Draco leaned in and closed his eyes, waiting for the moment her lips touched his.
"What about the Nargles?" she asked, and Draco's eyes snapped open.
"What?" he growled. "They're no Nargles anywhere around us, you've cast enough bloody charms to keep them away."
"Mistletoe is infested with Nargles. Everyone knows that," Luna said with a dreamy smile on her face.
"Damn it, Luna. Just kiss me!" he demanded.
"Of course," she whispered, putting her arms around Draco's neck, "All you had to do was ask."
Then Luna slowly leaned in, but Draco, being the impatient person he was, sped up the process and kissed her first.
"You lost," he heard mumble between kisses.
"No, I didn't." Because Draco had very much won when it came to a life time of happiness, having Luna by his side.
Hoped you enjoyed! I ventured out of my comfort zone and wrote two characters that I don't usually write, and put them together. Are there any good Druna fics out there? Let me know in your review! (Please review!)
