"So what do you think those two are doing in there?" Aylin asked the group quietly, her tone that of a gossiping schoolgirl. Abraham's eye's flicked to entrance of the closed door, turning back to the group with a confused shrug.
"If only I knew! But there is no way they've been practicing this whole time. Like, no way! It's been an hour," whispered Ali. All the contestants looked towards the closed door once more to figure out what was going on inside the locked classroom. Everyone knew that Nellie was extra nervous and unprepared about this topic-she thought the song 'Milkshake' was actually about selling milkshakes- but c'mon! how much practice did she need?
"I bet they're making out," giggled Lily, with s glint in her eyes. The others all laughed at the idea, while Michael smiled and shook his head.
"No way! Nellie isn't the type," he said. Shanna shrugged.
"I don't know... the two looked like they didn't need to work to hard during choreo practice." The group all agreed softly, their eyes burning holes through the door itself. The mystery behind it! What was going on?
"Ok, so like this?" asked Nellie for the thousandth time, arching her body carefully. Every muscle in her body showed off her nervousness, so tense and stiff. Blake gave an exasperated smile and walked over.
"Here, just like this." He guided her body along, softly holding her hips and pulling them up. His touch was electric, sending sparks through her body. She shot up, hitting the move perfectly, much to Blake's surprise. He jumped back, amazed, eyes wide with astonishment. Nellie then turned, scared that she messed up.
"I'm so sorry, did I hit you?" she asked nervously, hand on her chest worriedly. He just stared at her for a few seconds, before snapping out of it and pulling her into a hug.
"Are you kidding me?! You rocked! That was perfect!" he laughed, putting her at an arms length away. She smiled and looked down, swyping her hair back into place. Rosy pink tinged her cheeks.
"You really think so?" she asked him, a small smile taking over her face. Blake nodded enthusiastically, pulling her into another hug and planting a brotherly kiss on her forehead. Nellie smiled up at him, feeling comfort seep into her bones at the gentle contact. But still, she felt an odd longing. She wanted more. Nothing crazy, nothing insane, just more. She wasn't content with brotherly affection. She loved his touch, his comfort.
"You did awesome." He looked into her eyes, staring deep into the chocolate orbs. He felt in himself a sparking want as well. Nellie looked up at him through her lashes.
"Blake...can I try something? Just, an experiment?" Nellie asked softly. He nodded, not trusting his voice to come. Nellie slowly lifted herself onto her toes, closing the gap between the two, not breaking eye contact until they met. Blake melted into the kiss, letting his hands grip the sides of her face, his hold firm but gentle all together. She looped her arms around his neck, and grabbed a fistful of his hair. The kiss continued, deeply and passionately, until the two had to break for air.
"That-was-amazing," panted out Blake, with a nod from the still-breathless Nellie. The two stayed like that, in each other's arms for a few minutes, before breaking apart awkwardly.
"Um..." trailed off Nellie, hands pushed into her pockets.
"Yeah..." nodded Blake, rubbing his neck nervously. The silence continued for yet another few minutes before the Blake pulled Nellie in again, ending with the two kissing softly. This time it was short and sweet, and ended nearly as suddenly as it began.
"So... you want to practice again?"
