Couple: HiJack

Prologue

It was always the same every day. Jackson Overland, alias Jack Frost, would come over to beat up Hamish Haddock, commonly teased as Hiccup. The brunette sighed as, once again, he was roughly handled when all he was doing was minding his business and getting books for his first class.

He wished his day would changed from that.

"You just need to find your soul mate," Astrid told him. "then he can protect you from the frostbutt."

Hiccup rolled his eyes, "I don't need protection, Astrid. I can handle it." he protested.

"Yeah, who's talking?" Dimitri pointed to another new bruise. "your fifth bruise this week alone, or the black eye from Monday?"

Hiccup scowled, bring a hand up his eye sub-consciously, "What I do need," he stressed. "is him to just leave me alone."

"Uh, last I check, this is High school." Jim deadpan, "you don't get what you need."

Dimitri threw his arm around his soul mate, "You got me here, though?"

"I neither wanted that or needed it."

"Hey!"

On cue, the two started bickering. Astrid rolled her eyes, knowing it was just the sexual frustration talking. She turned back to her best friend. "Seriously though, you need a Soul mate. It doesn't even have to be about protection."

Hiccup sighed, but this time for a different reason. He and Astrid had dated up until a few months ago. But then, when the new transfer student, Jamie Bennett, enrolled they hit it off really well. And a few days later, both their chests glowed when they were at a coffee shop down town.

And Hiccup was there, too. When it happened.

"Astrid, it's okay. I'm kinda over it," he promised. "trust me. I wouldn't be hanging out with you if I had anything against you or Jamie. He's a nice guy after all." I just have something against everyone going along with the Soul mate concept. he didn't bother adding.

Hiccup believed that he should be able to decide who he wanted to be with, not his glowing chest.

Astrid tried to speak up again.

"It's okay, I don't need a rebound."

At the locker room after gym class, Hiccup was the last to get out of the shower. He usually brought his clothes with him into the shower to avoid his bullies, like the Frost, from stealing them. But he forgot to this time. So he was relieved when he found his clothes still inside them.

Probably bullying someone else today...

Hiccup fixed his shirt, pausing for a moment to examine the new bruise on his face. He sighed as he replaced the bandage there. Suddenly, he felt someone behind him. He turned around and stiffened seeing the last person he wanted to see.

Jackson Overland.

"Sup nerd," Jack sneered at him, bending down to the brunette's level. "Ready for another lesson?"

Hiccup froze in fear, because the bruise on his cheek was still throbbing. He's not ready for another bruise just yet. Then, for a moment, Jack's expression had changed. He looked confused and a little alarmed. But the brunette didn't think he's done anything to incite the reaction.

"What the—?"

"Huh?"

Until he made the expression himself, staring down at his bully's chest, with said bully doing the same. They looked at each other's glowing chest.

Glowing.

"Y-your chest, it—"

"Wait... NO—SHIT—"

"That means we're..."

SOUL MATES.

Jack and Hiccup jumped away from each other, turning away in frantic panic.

"AW HELL NO!"

Hiccup asked for a change, but this was not what he was looking for!

S.R.: This is a four chapter thing, so this first one is just pretty much a copy paste thing until I write post the rest.
