So, just like my RENT story "Block Party," this little fic was inspired yesterday when I went to a downtown music festival. All human, and pretty much fluff, 'cause I think fluffballs will someday rule the world. Anyway, enjoy the story!

Alice skipped ahead of her two best friends down the street. Her short black hair bounced with every step she took, and along with the fact she was barely five feet tall, she looked like a little pixie bobbing down the sidewalk. All the while she had a huge smile plastered to her face.

Bella and Rosalie had to run to keep up with the nymph, and they were not amused. Both were winded, and had passed about four street performers they had wanted to listen to. Their small town of Forks was hosting a festival to celebrate all forms of music, featuring a couple of main stages, and many, many, street performers.

"Alice!" Bella called, "Do you plan to leave the country?"

The only reply was a faint sound of bell like laughter.

Rosalie grabbed Bella's hand and dragged her in front of an amazing sounding troubadour. Rosalie looked at her pointedly as if to say, She may be small, but she can take care of herself. Bella nodded, and swayed to the music.

Meanwhile, Alice had found her way into a secluded corner of the downtown area. It was extremely close to the forest, and all was quiet, except the subdued melody of a lone acoustic guitar.

The girl smiled and followed the music until she came upon a tall man strumming softly, humming to himself. She admired his curly blonde hair and the way he seemed to be totally lost in his music. Soon Alice found herself lost in it as well.

To her it seemed like she had watched the man for hours, the never ending stream of chords and harmony flowing from his pale lips like clear water from a brook. The sun had started to set, and Alice could feel a chill in the air. She wrapped her arms around her small frame, but continued to stay rooted to her spot just feet from the musician.

As darkness fell the music that had mesmerized Alice for so long came to an end. The flaxen haired man regarded Alice for a moment, nodding slightly. He proceeded then to place his worn acoustic into its case, checking and rechecking the latches as if to make sure nothing would harm his cherished instrument.

Standing up from his crouch, guitar case in hand, the man looked at Alice more closely. She smiled, reaching her tiny hand to grasp his.

"I'm Alice," She said quietly, "I love your music."

The man smiled softly, bringing her hand to his lips, kissing it ever so gently.

"My name is Jasper," He replied with a slight Texan twang to his voice, "I'm glad you like my music, I'm grateful that you listened to my playing for so long."

"Well," Alice responded, a glint of mischief in her eye, "You did keep me waiting a while."

Jasper chuckled, ducking his head, "Well ma'am, I am sorry. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

The girl smiled, "There is one thing," she whispered, dropping Jasper's hand, internally cringing at the loss of contact as she started to walk away.

"And that would be what?" Jasper murmured into her ear, taking hold of Alice's hand once more.

Alice smiled brighter than ever before, "Come eat dinner with me."

Jasper felt lightness in his chest for the first time in years, and as he nodded, gently squeezing the mystifyingly beautiful girl's hand, it felt to him like his heart had started beating for the first time.

So, whatdaya think? Besides the fact I say "So," a lot, I'm a fairly normal person, and fairly normal people get abnormally excited when people review. So, make my fairly normal day and extraordinary one! Please?
