CYA Disclaimer: I do not own anything related to Pokemon or the band Dir En Grey. The text however, is mine, all mine!!
Rating: T, because its based off of a song by Dir En Grey. In my opinion, nuff said.
Random comedic idea I had ( yes, this fic is comedic, though darkly so). Basically I thought it was funny Dir En Grey's dark and disturbign song Kasumi shared a name with the Pokemon character Misty (Kasumi means Mist and was the original Japanese name for the character Misty, for those of you who weren't aware.) Since Dir En Grey and Pokemon are on completely opposite sides of the happiness spectrum, I thought it would be funny to combine them. So the following is the narration contained within the song Kasumi played out with pokemon characters. And its funny. So here you go!
Ash walks down a path in a park somewhere in Japan, near a place called Gion hill. In the one hand, he holds a candied apple. In the other he holds the hand of Pikachu. From the distance, the two look like father and child. The Pikachu is searching for someone, a mother to complete the family that in that moment was so tragically broken. Ash notices that something is missing as well, and as Pikachu, in its own special way, asks where Mommy is, Ash can only cry as his candy apple melts into nothing.
Memories of the missing one begin to return Ash. Misty. Kasumi. That was her name. Ash tries to shift his focus to something. Anything. Around him bugs chirp noisily, and he notices a shop selling paper fans. He has a paper balloon with him as well. He lets it fly, while his candy apple begins to melt away. Ashes wishes it were that easy for his memories to disappear.
That night at 4 am, Pikachu begins to cry. Ash begins reading its favorite picture book from the darkness. As Pikachu fall asleep Ash whispers goodbye. That creature will never see the smiling month of May it has wished for.
Now things have come full circle. As Ash finishes the deed he wonders how long it will be until his tears end. As he wonders, he tries not to think about the truth of his actions. The dead lie at the bottom, where the sun sinks to at the end of the day.
Ash leaves that house at one o'clock in the afternoon on a windless day. But even as he leaves, MistyKasumi and Pikachu lie under his tatami.
