So I began to write this story with the intent of it becoming a part of the Yandere series but it evolved into something definitely not Yandere. I decided to publish it anyway since the OC market on this site can use some help and I like Mukuro. God he's such a hard character to write, my brain was on overdrive until I decided to just shut up and write. Anyway, enjoy!

My eyes alone are not enough to catch all my mistakes, so excuse those that remain!

A month of sleepless nights was beginning to take a toll on Emma but she had to resist the temptation of sleep. She had gotten so far in her research and she was on the edge of a breakthrough, she just needed a little more time.

The tenth himself had given her this mission and she was determined to not let him down. He had done so much for her, a few nights of no sleep was the least she could endure.

The air in the room had dropped but she barely even noticed, her entire being was focused on the screen before her. She didn't even notice a figure emerging from the shadows of her room, watching her with mismatched eyes.

Emma felt a light brush against her shoulder and thoughtlessly brushed at it. A few seconds later it was back and she swiped at it again. When had a fly gotten in here? She wondered but didn't bother dwelling on it.

She screamed as her chair was ripped away from desk, her arms folded against her chest as she stared wide eyed at a familiar smiling face.

"Yo, Emma." He leaned forward and placed a kiss on both of her cheeks, "It's been a while."

"Mu-Mukuro!"

"I see you're caught up in your work again." He said looking over at her desk. "What's so important to have you looking like a corpse."

"I don't look like a corpse!"

"How long have you been sitting here? A day, two days?" Furrowing her brows she tried to answer, she remembered getting up to get water and use the bathroom a bit ago, or was it yesterday. Either way she wasn't going to tell him the truth, Tenth was always wary of his mist guardian so this time she would be as well.

"I haven't been here that long." She answered.

"Oh really," He stepped away from her and crossed his arms over his chest. "Well then, I am here for the information I had requested."

Righting her glasses she nodded, a few months ago she had received a message from one of Mukuro's people asking for information on a crime family in Russia. She had been made aware of the tense relationship between the Vongola and their mist guardian, and she had gotten the bosses approval before doing as she was asked.

"It's in the-" She got up to make her way towards the bookshelf on the other side of the room but before she could even get both her feet on the ground her legs gave out and she slammed onto the floor, her glasses flying off and landing somewhere in the darkened room.

"Kufufufu."

Flushing she pushed herself up by her arms and glared at the hazy outline of her guest. "A little help please."

The mist guardian crouched beside her, and while she couldn't make out his expression he seemed to ooze amusement. "I enjoy seeing you at my feet."

"That's not a nice thing to say!" She scolded, wincing as her legs began to wake up. "Ah, it hurts."

"Oh-ya." He reached out and pressed a hand against her thigh, sending the pins and needle feeling through her again.

"Ah!" She felt her face burn as he continued to poke and press at her legs, eventually the pins and needles feeling gave way to that hypersensitive tingling that made her emit different sounds. "Ahhhh!"

"You're making such embarrassing noises Emma," He teased, "but it's a pity they're not for the right reasons."

"Please Mukuro, stop it."

He let out a long drawn out breath, "Well if you insist."

She felt strong hands hoist her up, and she was pulled against a lean torso. Even this close up she could barely make out the lines of his face. Well ten years of staring at a screen in a dark room did that to you. She clutched at the lapels of his jacket as she righted herself, or tried to, her legs were still like jelly.

"I have your files over there, if you would please." She pointed at the bookshelf.

Without saying anything, Mukuro pulled the two of them over to it, and she let him support her as she looked through the files she had organized there, leaning forward to read the labels.

"Here we go." She pulled out a thick black file and smiled. "Here, I had it ready for a month now."

"You're very thorough with your reports, I wanted to give you all the time you needed. But that aside, do you always allow your clients to carry you around like this?"

Emma frowned at him, "Like what?"

He pulled her flush against him, chest to thigh, and squeezed her hips. "Like this."

"Of-Of course not!" She swatted at his chest, "Now if you would please take your things and be on your way, I have a lot of work to do."

"Kufufu, you seem to think you can tell me what to do." He leaned towards her, his face becoming clearer and clearer until she could see him clearly. She swallowed as she felt his breath against her lips.

"Mukuro."

"Answer the question my dear."

"I mean normally I'm able to move on my own." She shrugged. "You just caught me at a bad time. Now can you please return me to my seat, oh I need to find my glasses." Her legs felt a bit stronger and she pushed against his chest, he didn't let her go. "Mukuro please I have a lot of work-"

Strong fingers gripped her chin, tilting her face towards his, "Emma."

"Yes."

"What are you working on that has you so engrossed."

"It's something for the Vongola."

"Which Vongola." He asked.

"The boss." Green eyes widened at her mistake, "Mukuro you did not hear that!"

"I heard it very clearly." He suddenly let her go, her legs failing her as she collapsed on the ground. She watched as his blurred frame move to her computer and she groaned. The boss had asked her to keep it a secret, which was impossible now. How did he even get into her private office, no one could get in unless they had her biometric signature. Did the door even open?

"Don't read it, I'll get in trouble." She whined as she crawled across the floor feeling for her glasses.

"Have no doubt Emma, I will read it."

"That's not what I-" She heard the keyboard clicking and shot to her feet. She ran towards him and wrapped her arms around him and tried to pull him back but she had no luck. "Please stop!"

"Kufufufu, why would the Vongola be interested in this old thing." She continued to tug at him, unable to see what he was looking at without her glasses.

"Mukuro, please you're-"

"Simmer down pet, I'm sure the title that is constantly pushed upon me gives me enough clearance."

Well he wasn't wrong.

"Fine, but I will be complaining to the boss."

I honestly believe tyl Mukuro would be a flirt.
