No one was quite sure how the game of truth of dare had started, but at some point it had. So it came to be, that the members of the order of the phoenix, and the residents of Grimmauld Place procured the story of Alastor Moody's first kiss...
'It was the pureblood deb season of '54, and I was stuck at some ball, in honour of Cassandra Figg, who was being presented for the first time. She was a bit up herself, quite honestly and I was bored of it all, so I slipped out, knowing my mother couldn't see me, as she was trying to find someone to marry my brother off to.
'I walked up the back stairs and found a little room. When I tried the door it was locked. I thought it was odd so I cast alohamora, and the door burst open to reveal a girl, about my own age, sat on a bed in the corner, looking rather nervous.
'"What's your name?" I asked.
"Arabella." she told me, "Arabella Figg."'
'As in, Mrs Figg, the mad old cat lady who turned out to be a spy for Dumbledore?' Harry asked.
'The very same, Potter. When I asked her why she wasn't at the party she told me she was a squib.
'She was very pretty, and we talked for a while. I was just about to leave when she asked me to kiss her. I turned around and leaned in, and I did. Just as we were kissing, my brother came up behind me, put her under the cruciatus curse and yelled a load of crap about filthy squibs. That, my friends is why you need to remember...' his voice went quiet. 'CONSTANT VIGILANCE!'
The assortment of teenagers and order members around the table jumped.
'So, um, I'll take it you didn't see her again, then?' asked Fred.
'Well, as it happens, it was the debutante season of '56...'
'Now look what you've done!' hissed Ron.
'Here we go again...' muttered Harry.
A/N: this was a challenge to write, and I'm not 100% sure of how it worked out, but I hope you liked it and any review would be amazing! Thanks for reading it and I hope it was okay! X
