Disclaimer: I do not own these two wonderful human beings. I'm also not a millionaire.

Summary: "She cut him off with a glance, and grabbed his tie to pull him down to her level. 'Just kiss me.'" After Dumbledore's funeral, she needs comfort and he's there for her. Remus/Tonks drabble.

Word Count: 201

She turned away from him without a word after the funeral and walked to the lake, her head down.

He found her sitting against a tree, staring blankly into the water.

He kneeled down next to her and placed a hand on her shoulder; she visibly relaxed at his touch.

There were tears in her eyes when she looked over at him. He let her fall into his arms and cry softly, her head resting on his chest and her tears dampening his shirt. He twined his arms around her, stroking hair comfortingly, and, in their embrace, he heard her tears eventually subside.

He didn't let go of her; he didn't want to let go, not now, not ever. But he knew he had to.

He began to stand. "I really should go, I've got to—"

She cut him off with a glance, and grabbed his tie to pull him down to her level. "Just kiss me."

He softly pressed his lips to hers, and she seemed to melt in his arms from the gentleness of the embrace.

And he was glad, that even in the middle of this war—this period of suffering—they could still have these few moments of peace.

A/N: Hope you liked it. I actually had the idea for this in my head for a while; I'm amazed I managed to remember it.

I don't have much more to say about this one.
