Jaws
Young Justice,
Inside the Five Year Gap
It had started simply enough, they had finally had a night to themselves, and decided to watch a movie.
There was plenty of movies they hadn't seen. In fact, it was rarer to find a movie they had seen. Everyone kept shoving movie after movie into their faces, saying 'they could have this one', or, 'had to see' that one. Quite frankly, Tula and Garth were getting fairly sick of it.
But, they had a night with it being too late to go out and too early to go to bed, a movie sounded like a perfect option.
"Jaws…" Tula sounded it out, looking at the cover of a movie Wally had brought them a while ago. It had a picture of a shark on it, a shark with an opened mouth.
"Huh?" Garth called from the other room, where he was changing into something more comfortable.
"It's a movie, called 'Jaws'. I think it's about sharks." Tula called back, from her place in the living room.
"A movie about loudmouth sharks? Sounds pleasant enough." Tula could tell Garth was nodding, his voice always wavered slightly when he nodded and talked.
"Maybe I should read the back cover…" Tula mused, not yet turning it over.
"Don't do that, they always ruin the suspense." Garth warned, walking out, up behind Tula and leaning down over her for a kiss.
"Okay, you wanna watch this?" She smiled up at him, as he picked her up off the floor and carried her over to the couch.
"As you wish," Garth nodded, taking the movie from her grasp.
"That's it, no more Princess Bride for you!" Tula rolled her eyes.
"That was a surprisingly good film!" Garth argued playfully, hooking up the TV, and putting the disc in. Upon finishing that, a pillow was launched into his back.
"Never repeat that in front of Jaybird. He'll never let you live it down." Tula smirked, catching the pillow as he threw it back at her.
"So no Inigo Montoya for you?" He smiled, settling down next to her.
"Who knows, maybe you'll like the loudmouth shark better." She smirked, pulling him into a kiss, right before they pressed, play movie.
Several Hours Later…
The two sat in pure horror as the credits started playing. Tula was practically sitting on Garth's lap, and he was trying to gently stop her before she strangled him.
"Honey, my neck." He gasped, as the credits finished and the screen went dark.
"I think I finally understand why people are scared of sharks…" Tula nodded, loosening her grip a little.
"Hey," He whispered, bringing her into a kissed, but she pushed him back, gagging.
"My breath that bad?" He smirked, but the look disappeared as she started turning green.
"No… not you… the movie… I'm going to go hurl now…" She rushed to the bathroom, leaving him alone to attend to the main menu replaying.
He stopped the movie, and put it back in its case, and turned off the TV.
"Ya' know…" Tula said, reentering the room. "I don't think I'll mind Inigo Montoya anymore."
