First Fanfic that I've been thinking about posting for a while. Hope you all enjoy. :D
The calm and peaceful sea is quickly sent into turmoil as two heavily armored ships clash with each other. One ship The Sirena flies the infamous skull and crossbones. The ship is steered Fernando a young cunning, charming and ruthless pirate. His ship resembles the size and power of Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge. The other ship flies the flag of the Southern Isles and is being commanded by Hans the greedy and youngest of Southern Isle princes.
Fernando on the helm steers the ship towards Han's ship, "Prepare the cannons! We're going to show the spoiled Prince what happens when you cross Captain Fernando and his Sea Devils!"
The crew cheers as they begin to load the cannons. The man in the crow's nest notices Han's ship adjusting their movements,
"Captain! Southern Isle warship coming up on our starboard!"
"Prepare to fire!" Fernando shouts as his men begin to get into position.
Meanwhile Hans stands at the helm next to the ship captain Rasmus, a man of a thousand battles and veteran warship commander. "Rasmus crush them. Head straight for them," Hans commands him.
"Your Highness their ship has too much armor."
"If you're to afraid to do it, I will. I'm not returning to father with out that animal in chains. Now get ready to fire."
"As you command highness, but it'll be pointless." Rasmus slightly turns the helm making the massive ship shift it's direction towards the Sirena, "Men get the cannons ready, and prepare to fire on my command."
"Just have a little faith Rasmus," Hans tells him with a cocky smirk on his face.
The two ships sail towards each other. The crew on both ships are on edge as they brace themselves for imminent impact of the cannon fire. The ships finally pass each other and are board on board. Fernando gives the signal, "Fire! Fire all!"
Hans places his hand Rasmus shoulder, "Fire."
"Fire! Send them to a watery grave!," Rasmus shouts
Cannon fire echoes across the sea as the cannonballs smash into the sides of the ships and rip holes into the side of the ships. Crew members on both sides dive for covers, while others and sent flying from the impact. Men drag their injured crew mates to safety. What Fernando and his crew fail to notice is the second Southern Isles warship sneaking up behind the Sirena, which opens fire with its front cannons. "Second warship coming up from behind." The man in the crow's nest shouts down at Fernando. He calmly looks around, and notices a rolling fog going across the ocean. "Reload the cannons, drop the oil and spread the sheets!" Fernando commands. The crew scrambles on the deck.
The second Southern Isle warship opens fire again, and cannonballs smash into the rear of the Sirena.
"Quickly, get it done."
"Captain, cannons are ready," Antonio, Fernando's first-mate replies.
"Aim the cannons at the Prince's ship, and dump the oil behind us, and set it ablaze."
"Ay, Captain."
Antonio rushes down into the cannon deck, and raises his arm, "Prepare to open fire. Once we're board on board."
Fernando turns the helm to aim his cannons at Han's ship. Behind him two pirates dump tubs of oil into the ocean. The pirates put the buckets down, "Captain oil is ready!" The ships sail past each other again.
"Canons fire!" The canon ships fire at each ripping apart the ships. Pieces of wood shatter to pieces all around the crews. Fernando turns back towards his men, "Burn it." One of his men nods, and drops a torch into the ocean. The oil catches on fire, and quickly spreads across the top of the ocean. "Full speed ahead, towards the fog."
The Sirena speeds towards the fog. Rasmus tries to quickly turn the ship, meanwhile the second warship does it's best to avoid the burning oil.
Hans slams his fists on the rails, "We can't let him escape."
"His ship much faster, and going into that fog is too dangerous sire."
"They aren't getting away now that we have the advantage. Follow them in!"
"As you command." The warships spread their sheets and sail into the thick fog. Hans uses his spyglass, but quickly puts it away in frustration. The fog is blinding leaving visibility at almost zero
"The fog is too thick. I can barely see to the end of the ship."
"I warned you Highness. Chasing them into this was too dangerous. We should've gone around."
"Keep moving forward, but lower the speed. We don't want them to catch us off guard."
"Reduce speed!" Rasmus orders
Inside the Captain's quarters Fernando, and Antonio stand over a table, and look at a map of the region. Fernando taps his fingers on the edge of the table.
"What now? The fog doesn't seem to end," Antonio asks.
"We need a place to dock. Somewhere that won't cause us any trouble."
"I think this is the best place," Antonio points at a city on the map.
"Arendelle? I haven't heard much of this place. What do you know about it?"
"Not much. I've only heard some stories." Fernando looks at him attentively.
"I've heard that in the mountains of Arendelle lives a snow witch, but there haven't been any confirmations of that. Also a new ruler has just taken the throne so the kingdom is fragile. Perfect for us to blend in for a couple days, possibly weeks.
"Arendelle it is. Change the flag to Puerto Real's." Antonio nods and leaves the cabin. Fernando looks back down at the map and stares at the word Arendelle.
