Thank you all for your patience. I have now finished this story so there will be an update every Monday until all of the chapters are posted. I made a few minor changes to this story as I finished it so feel free to re-read it.

General P.O.V

Callie Torres was walking inside of Miami Central High School with a bright smile on her face. She worked at a place where the students and faculty loved her, and she equally loved them too. She was also at a great place in her life so, why wouldn't she be happy?

Walking into the office, she saw principle Webber's assistant, sitting at her desk talking to a blonde whose back was to her.

"Morning Bailey!" she says as she moves to clock in.

"Morning Torres" Miranda greets back, "Since you're here, I would like for you to formally meet our new Chemistry teacher." She says as the blonde turns in her seat, standing.

Callie looks at the blonde and smiles holding her hand out, "Callie Torres. Nice to meet you Ms. …" She says lightly.

"Robbins. Arizona Robbins." The blonde replies returning a smile while also not making any efforts to let go of the brunette's hand.

"Right. It's nice to finally meet you Ms. Robbins." She gets out.

'Finally meet me?' Arizona thinks to herself. Instead of asking about it she just responds by saying, "Likewise, Ms. Torres"

"Please, call me Callie." She tells her.

Instead of replying, they both stare at each other a little while longer until the sound of someone clearing their throat breaks them a part.

Looking at Bailey, she has a look of annoyance on her face, "Well if you two are done, Torres, did you, maybe, want to show her around some while you walk to your room? If not, I can." she says making the blonde blush while a grin slowly works itself onto Callie's face.

Shaking her head, the math teacher says, "It's not a problem. I'll do it. See ya Bailey." She says turning to the blonde, telling her to follow her.

Walking down the hallway, the two women remain silent aside from the occasional greetings from students to the brunette. After a few more seconds, the brunette decides to break the silence.

"You know, the school looks big on the outside but it's really just this big loop. Here," she says stopping and pointing at an open doorway, "is the teachers' lounge. Most teachers come here on their lunch breaks or to make copies. Usually, there's always a pot of coffee made each morning, but my advice is to just bring your own because you never know who makes it and it usually tastes like crap."

The blonde's face takes on a look of amusement, "What about days when you just so happen to make it? Do I still not drink it?" she asks.

"Well…" Callie says stepping closer to her, "I never get here early enough to make it so I guess that'll just remain a mystery." She finishes, smirking.

Arizona chuckles, "Indeed, it will."

Callie playfully rolls her eyes and continues down the hallway, "Right up these stairs is where I teach. I am the head of the math department here and I also teach Calculus and Pre-Cal so, both, my classroom and office are located up there." She explains as they move past the staircase.

Moving on down the hallway and eventually up the stairs, Callie points out the direction of the Cafeteria, Gym, History Department, English/Literature Department, and lastly the Science Department.

They stop beside the second-floor window, "All elective classes like Music Appreciation, Consumer Sciences, etc. are located outside." She turns to look out the giant glass square, pointing, she continues, "The building on the right houses the Family and Consumer Sciences Department and Arts Department so it has everything from classrooms to studios to having a kitchen in it. It's quite neat if I do say so myself. The one on the left was built with sound proof rooms because it has, both, the Band and Choir rooms in it on one side, and the Drafting, Welding, and Auto Mechanics rooms on the other side. Hidden behind the two buildings is the baseball and football field which also consists of all the necessities for track and field and soccer." She ends looking over to the blonde who is sporting a look of surprise.

"Wow. This school seriously has everything."

"Well our goal, here at Central is to give students a broad horizon so they will be certain about what it is that they want to do when they graduate." Arizona nods.

"You speak so highly of this school." The brunette raises her eyebrow making the blonde quickly continue, "Not that it's a bad thing but I can just really tell that u love it here."

Callie smiles, "I do." She tells the blonde.

They begin walking again, heading toward the science department, "Does the system that you guys have going on now work well, as far as it goes with having separate departments?" the blonde inquires.

"Yeah it really does. It helps having teachers of the same subject right by each other and although we are in different departments, everyone here knows each other unless you're sort of a loner. It also helps the students, particularly freshmen or transfers, find their classes easier." Callie explains as Arizona nods.

"That makes sense." She says looking over to Callie as they reach her classroom door, "The only downside I see to it is that… your kind of far away in a sense." She says softly.

Hearing this, Callie quickly snaps her head up towards the blonde teacher, blushing, "I-I think that we will be seeing each other often." She says, cursing herself for stuttering as the blonde giggles. 'Two can play that game Robbins' she thinks to herself.

Clearing her throat and lowering her voice, she leans in, "I mean, I did willingly give you a personal tour, so I am very sure that we will be seeing more of each other very soon." Pulling back, she sees that the blonde is now blushing.

'Good job Torres!' she mentally pats herself on the back.

Turning to leave, she looks at the blonde one final time, saying, "Have a great first day Ms. Robbins. I'll see you around." She winks and walks away leaving Arizona there to watch her.

'You will definitely see me around Callie Torres.'

The blonde snaps out of her trance at the sound of the first morning bell ringing and turns to enter her new classroom. From the encounters she's had thus far, she could tell that she was really going to like it here.

Arizona P.O.V

When I woke up this morning, I was so ready to begin my new job. I didn't think that there was a way for me to become any more excited than I already was until I met her. Callie Torres. She is everything that I like in a woman. She's beautiful, apparently smart, sweet, makes me laugh, has a radiant smile, and I could go on but that's enough for right now. I really would like to get to know her better.

As I enter my classroom, I look around and see that there are a few students already sitting while a some are still entering. I place my things down on the desk at the front of the classroom and turn to face my them all. I hear them begin to quiet down and turn to face me as they realize that I am about to start talking.

"Good morning, my name is Arizona Robbins and I am your new Chemistry teacher. I would like to start off by saying that I am very excited to teach you all and I hope that I can be half of the teacher that Ms. Hahn was."

A girl in the front row raises her hand, "Yes?"

"Um, yeah, we were actually hoping that you are nothing like Ms. Hahn. She was too uptight and unfocused. It was like she didn't care." The girl says and there are some mumbled agreements to what she said.

My eyes widen, "Okay…?'

"Abby" she says supplying me with her name.

"Okay, Abby. Let me rephrase my previous statement, I hope to live up to higher standards than your previous teacher. Now, from my understanding, all of you, or at least most of you, are juniors this year. My job is to prepare you for graduation next year and college a year after that while also helping make learning exciting for you. My plan is to open you up to new experiences. Did you all do experiments or any type of games with Ms. Hahn?" The students shake their heads.

"Ok well I will say that we will be doing a lot of those two things." I tell them and immediately get responses.

"All right!"

"Awesome!"

"I've always wanted to mix things together!"

"I like you already." I hear various students say, making me chuckle.

"Okay, calm down guys, it is already January meaning that we don't have a lot of time, so I have to see what it is that you guys have already learned before we can get to the fun part." I hear some groans, "BUT we will still be doing experiments throughout this semester." I tell them which makes the gleam in their eyes return.

"Now, with that being said do you have any questions for me before you all tell me your names?" I see a hand go up.

Pointing to one of the boys in the third row he asks, "Are we going to have a lot of work?"

I shake my head, "If everyone cooperates with every assignment that I give, there won't be a lot of written work but you can't just decide to not complete the assigned work because then I will assign more written work that won't be fun for anyone. The key to this class Is to simply pay attention. Do the assigned reading, which will practically be non-existent, but when I do assign reading pages, you will most likely have a quiz on the material. Does that answer your question?" I ask seeing him nod in return.

"Anymore?" Nobody else raises their hand so I move on, "Alright. Well since there are no more questions, can you please begin telling me your name and grade. We are going to start on the first row, right side."

As I listen to the students introduce themselves, I begin to get a feel for those who have great confidence and those who are a little more on the shy side. Overall, they seem like a pretty good bunch. As the last person finishes, the bell rings signaling the change of classes.

"Have an awesome rest of the day guys! Please bring any materials that you have received for this class on tomorrow. Bye!" I tell them as they begin to disburse. I move to stand outside my door, watching students walk up and down the hallway.

"Hi, you must be the new chemistry teacher." I hear. Looking to my left, I see a blonde standing next to me, "My name is Teddy Altman. I am the Physics teacher here."

"Hi, yes I am the new Chemistry teacher. Arizona Robbins." I reply shaking her hand.

"It's nice to meet you. How was your first class?" she asks.

"It went really well. I was a bit nervous, but the kids seemed really excited by my presence."

Teddy laughs, "Believe me, we all are." She says, "The previous teacher, Erica Hahn was not the best person to teach a group of high schoolers or… any group of kids really."

"Was she really that bad?" I ask.

"The woman was selling illegal substances to the students. She had them watching non-school friendly movies. When parents began to complain, and she was fired, she went down the hallway pushing students into the walls saying that she didn't need this job because her drug dealing boyfriend would take care of her. Now, you tell me if she is really that bad."

I look at her with wide eyes, 'What the hell?!' "That is crazy! I wouldn't do anything like that." I tell her.

"Good because with all of that going on, many parents were upset, and Callie had a lot to deal with in the aftermath." 'Wait, what? What does Callie have to do with it?'

"Callie? As in Callie Torres?" Teddy nods, "What did she have to do with it?"

Teddy furrows her eyebrows, "Well when you're the boss, you have to deal with things like that." 'WHAT?!' Seeing my eyes widen she asks, "Didn't you know?"

"S-She's the owner of this school? B-But Richard Webber is the principle." I say, perplexed.

Teddy laughs, "You don't have to be the principle of a school just because you own it Arizona. She likes to stay out of the lime light as much as possible." She explains to me.

The late bell rings just as I am about to respond.

"I hate to cut this conversation short but it's time to tend to my class. I'll see you later Arizona." She tells me, disappearing into her room.

'This is definitely news to me. I knew this was a private school and I thought Richard Webber was maybe the person who started it but I was completely wrong. Anyways, I don't have time to dwell on that. I need to get inside.' Walking into my classroom for the second time today, I see all new faces. 'Here we go.'

"Good morning guys!" I smile, "My name is Arizona Robbins and I am your new Chemistry teacher."

Don't forget to review! Til next time, Britt.
