Another crack fic... I'm so sorry! Hahaha!
This is what you get when I'm bored and should be doing my Spanish work... or at least some of the English homework... the deadlines draw ever closer!
We all know Saïx isn't as tough as he looks. And seriously... anything that Luxord makes a bet on is bound to be terrible... a bunch of bored nobodies has to be the most dangerous thing ever. Ever. And... well... FOR SPARTA!!!
(I'm still in a goofy mood as you can see...)
"As if!" Xigbar laughed, "Oh, you have no idea, darling number X! Saïx ain't half as tough as you think. It's all puff 'n' strut, kid."
"How much would you like to lay on the line, then?" Luxord replied, leaning across the dining table and pinning a generous sum of money down with the end of his thumb. "I'm not the best bet, but I think I have you squarely beat on this one. Ten thousand munny says I'm right. There's no way you can make him faint right here on the spot."
Xigbar dug around in his pockets for a moment, pulled out a similarly hefty sum.
"Fifteen thousand. That says I can make him fall hard in under five seconds… oh, and don't try to top me," he laughed, "'cause you're going to be a sorry little punk when I'm done with ya."
--- ---
"Hey Demyx!" Xigbar yelled, "Come here!"
Demyx, who had just been strolling through to go to the library, complied without much of a complaint, leaned over the table and smiled.
"Hey, Xiggy, Lux. What's cookin'?"
"A bet," Luxord said simply.
Demyx blanched, the jaunty air sucked right out of him.
"I want no part," he groaned, but just as soon as he turned around, Xigbar was in front of him.
Damn you teleportation specialist!
"Wait, wait, wait, kid… I promise it's got big benefits for you. You don't have to do much; I just need to borrow you for like five minutes."
Demyx shifted uneasily.
"So he says," Luxord huffed.
"Would you take your clothes off for five thousand munny?"
Demyx looked confused, but he nodded.
"All of 'em?"
A slight pause, but he nodded again.
"How much more would make you run?"
--- ---
Saïx yawned, wandering through the dining room to the kitchen so he could get a cup of coffee from Zexion. He'd been up all night transcribing old books for Xemnas's later review, and he had no desire to see any nonsense from the two sitting at the table. He gave a curt nod to both of the men, continued walking.
"Hey Saïx," Xigbar called.
That was odd… why would Xigbar even acknowledge…
He had no time to give it much thought as Demyx came flying around the corner, screaming at the top of his lungs.
"Streaking!"
Saïx watched the golden skinned kid blaze by for all to see, bright yellow eyes wide with shock.
I'll never get that image out of my head… he thought mournfully before collapsing into a senseless heap on the tile floor. His face still burned with a hot blush.
"You owe me twenty thousand munny, Lux," Xigbar stated simply, tossing Demyx's clothing over his shoulder nonchalantly. "Better luck next time."
"Well I'll be damned," Luxord laughed, and with that he took a portal back to his room. It was the best he'd felt about losing in a long time.
