Money causes a lot of problems. While many rich people would contest this statement, there are some proofs even they cannot dispute- proofs such as the Kuno family, where money has allowed three people to live out delusions in which the world conforms to their… rather unique visions. That being said, money can also solve a lot of problems. Looking again to the eccentric family mentioned above, one could say that two of the three Kunos shared an intense hatred for their mutual annoyance: the ever unfortunate Ranma Saotome. Having thwarted their plans on many varied occasions, Ranma unknowingly facilitated the creation of an alliance between the two.
As any outsider can tell, the alliance had one main purpose: removing Ranma Saotome from their lives. A fact to be considered is that when the Kunos plan something, they put a lot of effort in. Granted, many of their plans may be ridiculous or backfire, but they are a determined bunch. Their plot was both simple and devious, so much so that it is fortunate neither realized the potential of their short alliance. The elder Kuno happened to be the principal of Ranma's high school, so it was easy for him to transfer Ranma to a school far away from them. His son, in a stroke of genius so rare that it was later rumored he stole it from someone else, suggested the school be so advanced that Ranma would have to spend all of his time studying. Normally such a concept would be anathema to Ranma, but his mother, one Nodoka Saotome, was irritated over his lack of success in school and tried to use the notorious seppuku contract to force him to do better.
In the end, Ranma was forced to attend Ouran High School, but only after he convinced himself that it would be a welcome vacation from his increasingly stressful and abnormal life.
Author's Note:
This is my
first story, so all criticisms are welcome. Also, my knowledge of
Ranma ½ is entirely second-hand, so if any errors are made that
offend readers, please inform me.
Yes, the title isn't terribly
creative, but then again, I'm a terribly un-creative person
attempting to be creative. As you can tell, I'm probably not one to
overestimate my (non-existent) skills.
