You see a child walk forward
As pretty as can be
With but an innocent smile
But there is more to see
You see a tear stream down her cheek
Her lips trembling in the breeze
Her hands are shaking and sadly
You kneel down on your knees
You hold the child in your arms
Unaware of the danger within
And with a sharp pain in your neck
The work begins to spin.
This blithe babe is not as sweet
So innocent or pure
Her blue eyes glint with hatred
And to her you're allured.
Yet as vial as this creature is
Her intentions rotten so bad
Sympathy comes easily
For you cannot stay mad
A child is all you notice
Young of years and face
What lies in her heart be different
When a woman is in her place.
Years ago on a new mooned night
A man lurked around the town
A child sitting in the dark
Not knowing what was found
A law was broken that night
Not one of humans though
The vampire known as Lestat
Took a child oh so low
Trapped eternally as a girl
When her heart seeks so much more
He stole away her happiness
Eagerly closing the door
Forced to live forever
Nothing but a shell
Her heart beats older for her
As her mind can still dwell
On the life he stripped away
The things she'd never know
Like growing up and living
Rather then being Stowe
She was given every thing
From dolls to and pleasures fair
Yet her young mind yurned for more
Things that just weren't there
She wanted more then offered
Spoiled in the wrong way
Materials only go so far
Her mind was lead away
Love was a stranger
One she learned to fear
While they raised her properly
A woman, she was never near
Was it so suprising?
When her created almost died
While she held the stake
And not a tear was cried
She did not say false
She said what she had done
"Do not judge me" she pleaded
But there was no where to run
She cried out for her mother
As the sun rose in the sky
Strapped to a chair she waited
She waited just to die
There was no greater crime
Or so that's what they said
So while Lestat still lived
Poor Claudia was dead.
