Teddy Remus Lupin an orphan
"Have you seen Remus?" Tonks called after him.
"He was duelling Dolohov," shouted Aberforth, "Haven't seen him since!"
"Tonks," said Ginny, "Tonks I'm sure he's ok-"
Tonks POV
But Tonks had run of into the dust after Aberforth. Sprinting down the corridor into the entrance hall she passed dozens of bodies lining the ground. Stopping to check that none of them were Remus she carried on. Hurtling into the Great Hall she stopped. There were her aunt, husband and a couple of other death eaters. Remus was duelling all three. Curse after curse, hex after hex he sent. Curse after curse, hex after hex he received. None of them reached their target. Tonks stood frozen to the spot. Her senses returning to her she shot a killing curse towards one of the death eaters. With a strangled scream he sank to the floor. The other three in the room turned and stared at her, Remus was grinning. Bellatrix smirked.
"Remus look out." Tonks screamed. He turned. A jet of green light was hurtling his way.
"I love you." He yelled. The curse hit him just above his heart. His body rose slightly before falling to the ground in a crumpled heap.
"No" She yelled. "You killed him." Tonks screamed at Bellatrix her voice choked with unshed tears.
"Ah. Is little baby Nymphadora crying over a werewolf." Bellatrix spat the words at her as if the words would actually kill her.
"At least being a werewolf is better than being a servant of Voldemort." Tonks shouted. "He only turned into a monster once a month while you spend your days as one."
"You dare talk to me like that." Bellatrix screamed. "You dare." And she sent another killing curse at her. Tonks dodged the curse. Screams could be heard outside and by the sounds of it the death eaters weren't winning.
"Sounds like your needed out there." Tonks hissed at her aunt. "I'll be back for you later." Her aunt returned and tore into the battle.
Tonks stood alone in the hall. The other death eater had disappeared long ago. Tonks dropped to her knees beside her husband. She brushed the hair out of his eyes and dropped a light kiss on his forehead.
"I love you" she whispered. "And I always will."
A sudden bang alerted her to the ongoing fight outside. And, without a second thought she sprinted out to join her friends. She saw Ginny throwing every hex she knew at Goyle while Luna dodged every green light while trying to get near enough to help her friend. Everywhere Tonks looked she saw members of the order, a few seventh years, teachers and other friends duelling death eaters. Tears sprang to her eyes but she held them back as she hurled a hex at Goyle. Ginny turned and gave her a thankful grin before returning her attention to her duel. Tonks searched the place for Harry, Ron and Hermione but couldn't see them anywhere. Where they dead?
She determinedly pushed the thought out of her mind as a scream of Tonks brought her attention back to reality. A green light was hurtling her way. She stood frozen to the spot her legs had turned to ice. Ginny and Luna were staring at her, urging her to move. As the curse neared her she yelled
"Tell Teddy we loved him" and she fell. Ginny stared at the spot where the woman she had thought of as her elder sister had once just stood.
Teddy Remus Lupin was an orphan.
