First things first.
I DON'T OWN INTERSTELLLAR! ALL RIGHTS BELONGS TO THE RESPECTIVE OWNERS OF THE MOVIE!
Okay I don't know what happened with my story, but I had to delete it, because you couldn't read it.
Seriously what the hell is wrong with you?! Since months I have problems with uploading fics and new chapters over here!
I got the idea for this small fic of mine while listening to the awesome song "Mountains" from the OST of interstellar.
The scene was super intense!
This fic is written in Millers POV right after his landing.
I hope you'll like it and I am sorry for grammer/spelling mistakes.
English isn't my first language ;).
Theseare no mountains...
Here I was: Caught on some unknown planet that no human had gone before.
Water is the only thing that surrounds me and I don't know if the atmosphere is sufficient to take off my helmet and breathe. I let my helmet on, not even think about to take it off, because that would be suicide.
In front of me stretches the vast landscape of water.
Nothing but water, no country and strange mountains that stretches before me...and these mountains come closer?
No, that's utter nonsense.
How should a mountain come closer?
Such a thing is not possible, not even in another galaxy...
My common sense is trying to instill me that it is not possible, but a power unknown to me in my heart tells me exactly the opposite.
I shake my head and try to push those thoughts aside.
I'm not here to think about mountains, I am here to fulfill my mission.
The mission to find a new planet on which humanity can survive.
Our planet, Earth, is destroyed.
Mankind has evolved during evolution to a true monster.
A monster who has not thought about the consequences of his actions.
And now we are forced to look for a new home and wouldn't the thinking of mankind change quickly, then this planet will be doomed as well...
I am leaving my position to my Shuttle and look again in the seemingly endless eternity, which extends in front of me.
And again those mountains draw my full attention to them and...It really seems that they come closer.
But it is not possible!
A mountain is not able to move!
Except...
My eyes are numb with shock when the realization hits me like a blow.
Except these are no mountains...
I suddenly feel the ground vibrate under my feet and the ankle deep water starts to move. The mountains come closer and closer and before I can think about what is happening I already run.
I'm running as if the devil himself would be behind me, trying to reach my Shuttle, which is several meters away from me. Behind me I hear a roar, a sound like an incredibly powerful force that moves in my direction and thereby destroy everything in their path.
I hardly dare to turn my head and peering over my shoulder, but I do it anyway, and I have no more time to grasp yet another clear thought.
It is too close to me and from the inside I already know that there will be no escape for me.
My life rages on over my eyes and just when I think I would still make it in time, I'll know better when the mighty force sweeps over me and tears me with it.
A scream breaks out of my throat as the huge masses of water come down on me and tear me with it. I feel the strong power of the tugs at my body, feel my helmet is squeezed by the enormous pressure and a little later the glass of my visor breaks and smothered my last scream.
A single thought still rages through my head before I fall into a deep darkness and end my life:
These are no mountains...they are waves...
The End
