A/N Hey yal! I'm back! Unfortunately, this is probably only a one shot... but I'm working on the other stories, as well as some new ones. Sorry about grammar and spelling..
Anywho, enjoy the show!
Silver Lining
Aang sat on his bed. His window looked over the bison stables, were he could see Katara and Sokka chatting. Dust had collected on the window sill, and cobwebs draped the corners. Aang sighed, and turned to face the entire of his old chamber.
The walls were decorated with the history of the monks... his people. All that was left of their legacy was sitting in the eyes of the last, of the air-benders. Aang could cry. He knew that the avatar, after death resided in the spirit world. But he knew, after he departed, the story ended.
How could there be balance in the world, if an element was erased? The wind may still exist, but the other elements would have control over it. Aang gently placed his hand on the stone wall. Everything passes sometime.
Aang sat on the cold floor and closed his eyes in meditation. Deep in thought, he felt something he never had before...
Maybe, they weren't supposed to survive the comet. Maybe in the next month, the world would end, and the spirit world would become ruler of all. Maybe, his quest was to guide the peoples of this world over to the next in peace... unity...
He may have been misguided, the stress of his life taking over his sanity, but in his heart, he knew this to be true.
There was no balance, and he couldn't restore what was permanently gone.
He stood up in a trance, and walked to the statue in the court yard, were he prayed for Gyatso's spirit, for guidance. A reassuring calm passed over him, and he found his way to his friends. Katara and Sokka watched quietly, as their friend made his way to the saddle. Appa raised into the air, and they were off.The quest to purify and unite, had begun.

Ok, pending on reviews, I may continue this... Ok, it wasn't that great, but I had to put something up! Please, no flames! They make the fuzzy feeling inside of you go away...
Love, peace and bacon grease!
